What is the last movie you saw? and rate it.

Gosford park, really ancient but a master piece of period movies. I catched that on DVDs and i have to say after watching it for 4times, its still my favourite piece. I'll give credit for the pace of the drama, the intensity (for the storyline and visual presentation). Lover of vintage should watch this for the old world, pre-depression feel.

GOF- yea i thought it was great judging from the numerous clips WB released. But its too bad they didnt show the complete Order of Pheonix members at the end. Where's the linkage to the next movie going to be? *shrugs* letsgooliers- not a perfect one but its the best within time frame?

I've just finished "The Legend of Zorro". A good film, I really enjoyed myself.

Last night I was passing over the channels to see if there was something good to see. There was a movie that was just beginning "The Man Who Knew Too Much". The version with Doris Day and James Stewart (from 1956) it was a great movie. :D

Alfred Hitchcock is my favorite director. The fact that he never won an Oscar as best director is a very poor reflection on the Academy of Motion Pictures. Only one of his films ever won best picture of the year ("Rebecca" in 1940.)

If you thought "The Man Who Knew Too Much" was a great film, wait until you see "Vertigo" and "Rear Window."

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I'd give it a 7 because I wish they had stayed more faithful to the book and not 'hollywoodized' it by removing so many subplots. Still, I enjoyed it. Miranda Richardson & Ralph Fiennes were really good, short as their roles were.

The banner ad has convinced me. I am its zombie slave. I have to see "Memoirs of a Geisha" when it comes out.

Walk the Line. This movie was so tremendously good – wonderful acting, wonderful singing, a wonderful romance and it all worked . . . yes wonderfully!

It’s about Johnny Cash, the Man in Black and how he met his second wife June Carter from the famous singing Carter family. I think perhaps the only sour note was how his first wife was portrayed, a little shrewish, and since it was made by John & June’s son he has admitted he may not have portrayed her correctly though not intentionally. Aside from that the movie is a must see and the performances Oscar contending!

It’s not only for country music lovers but for anyone interested in music in general, and n by gone days, and biographies and romances and redemption and just a rollicking good time! It starts off with rockabilly music Johnny did along with Elvis, Roy Oberson, Carl Perkins, and of course Jerry Lee Lewis. Joaquin Phoenix sings so well there are times he almost matches the Man in Black’s distinctive voice and Reese Witherspoon! Her voice is superb and lovely and I even think better than June’s.

Let me add that my 21 year old daughter enjoyed this movie immensely so it’s for all generations. She enjoyed it so much she’s seen it three times, along with myself. Bought the soundtrack and plan to see it a fourth time this weekend I think. :banana: It keeps getting better and better with each viewing. The music is contagious, the story compelling, the acting stupendous. I highly recommend this movie. 5 out of 5! Enjoy!

The last movie I saw was Pride and Prejudice -- it was good but the theater where we saw it didn't have a good sound system so sometimes it was hard to hear. I liked the plot but I thought it was a little too long.

I assume you mean the one that just came out, with Kiera Knightley? Have you seen the 1995 version with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle? It may have been a mini-series, but I can't remember. In any event, if you like the story, I would highly recommend watching that one. It's one of my favorites. :nod:

Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire was great! I also just saw Pride and Prejudice. It was good,but not quite as good as the book.

Not a big fan of Harry Potter, I took my little brother to the movie and ended up really enjoying it.

i havent seen HP and the GOF yet, but i really do want to see it, im really looking forward to it....i saw pride and prejudice, and i loved it. if you liked the book, you will like the refreshing casting off mr bingley and mr bennett, 9.5/10 for me.

1995 version is also a must-see, and its a full movie emily, good viewing on that one.
