What does that mean?
To some it’s wealth or fame
For me no more than happiness
delight

thee, yet of late thou hast
passed me like a stranger in
the night…
The night
Wraps around me
With its comforting sounds
Blackness covers like a blanket
Sweet rest
sweet rest
with him i know
his arms held out for all
to turn your back upon this life

a word spelled out
with letters written fine
the note was hidden secretly
within

let night feelings
bounce, cricket sounds alive
like crackling skies ahead, sinking
after.

All this time, I
Wonder how much more I
Can write with success, talent, and
Passion?

sparks of spirit ignite
explore the soul of perception
within

the moment I
wait, expecting, wanting
for something to happen. Until
then I....

the far less fortunate—
and shame runs through my soul knife-like—
regrets…

the heart, which once did live
in the warmth of 'nother being,
now frets.
