Rambling poetics
The reed bends in harmony
with its surroundings
but I don't want it to bend
I want it to resist.
The yelding to measure
is a poetic sacrifice.
The yarn wants to be infinite
like the thread of a spider.

mushrooms
let us rewind to the days when almond trees
blossomed white and cherries trees' pink
were the most noticeable sight downtown
in Spring under bright azure skies...
replaced by the sight of mushrooms of
green or blue or brown or camo tarp/tents
feeding upon the destitute living outcasts
who drive grocery carts for a meager living

A small but persistent ship
sails the charter of memory.
It braves its sometimes clear,
sometimes muddy, waters.
During the adventure of imagination,
It may venture the boldness of a protest,
or seek the respite of a shelter.
Whatever worlds sunken or unveiled
it may encounter
it provides the movement
necessary to their subsistence.

Tinker Boo Rabbit
Much charisma had it.
It made a fervorous speech
on an island of which
the rabbits all
used to walk in the diagonal.
He examined the condition of a mine
Which was everything but fine
and that was it.

The sunbeam and the Mayflys
It was on the second day
after the great extermination.
The exhausted sun sent out
a threadbare timid beam
to the devastated earth.
Broken spaceships lay around
surrounded by melted down creatures.
A vision of ominous silent horror
threatening never to disappear.
The weak sunbeam became full of ennui,
not to say depressed,
trying to bring life and warmth to a scenario
which even the breeze had given up.
Suddenly, at the entrance of a dark hole,
it beheld some movement,
like a very slight slapping of wings.
The sunbeam stopped short
in front of the cave and watched:
Three Mayflies were doing there usual dance,
as if nothing momentous had happened.
The little sunbeam suddenly got big and strong
and the sun in full atire graced the stricken soil.
For it understood that the cycle of life and death
hadnīt been interrupted.
Life was emerging again even if modestly
with the ephemeral Mayflies.

the earth's anger turned inward
starting with a small tremor
then unabating rumbling; a
cataclysmic earthquake creating
turmoil on land; a tsunami wall
racing sound in the open sea -
slowing only as it crested distant
coastal shores resulting in an
unrelenting surge scourging inland

The Grasshopper
An open childrenīs book,
pictures coming alive!
The sword fern leaves sway merrily in
the wind
The toadstools are cute little
red houses talking to each other.
The grasshopper tries to stay aloof
perched on a big stem.
But his sternness is just a mask,
he enjoys his reign
of paper.
