Vegemite is the Oz equivilant of Marmite, which has probably done little to clear the mists. It's a dark black, sticky spread, with a bite like a Black Widow Spider, that is a by-product of brewing and is spread upon bread and eaten, when one wishes to blow the dandruff away. It is wonderful, although once you've eaten some, you can't taste anything else for about 4 years.
