It was strange but I think Ill refuse the job if they offer it to me because it costs 8 pounds a day travel and I need to go by train and there closing the railway all through decmber so itll be hard to get there.
 8 POUNDS, holy cr*p, thats alot of money!
Yes, Robin. Quickly now to the Batcave!
I had to do some research, but today a certain member with a research paper due still managed to post 99 times. My fingers hurt just thinking of it!

Anybody got more than that for a one day total? :goof: :goof:
John Keats wrote beautiful poetry, but now we must learn one of his poems by heart, and they're so damn long.
oh you poor thing -- which one???
HA Im so luckey I only ever had to learn passages
Well, it wasn't specified.
But we'll think that we'll choose "La Belle Dame sans Merci"
We like it and it is not so long as the others
Also we are a bit confused - the literature teacher said that it would be extra nice if it were unmodified, genuine - does it mean untranslated also?
For actually i have nothing against Keats translated in Estonian - it has been done quite skilfully. And it is easier to remember. And perhaps, it was meant that it would be in Estonian.
Ah, it is so confusing.
We guess that we'll learn it in english (we have got quite an amazing memory for some things, actually) and perhaps find an exerpt of another poem in estonian.

I met a lady on the meads
Full beautiful - a faery's child
Her hair was long, her foot was light
and her eyes were wild
what exactly is strange?. if someone like say jack black showed up at the Boston symphony and played his brand of music would they think him strange? If a girl seated herself at a desk at university wearing a bunny suit and a groucho marx pair of glasses would she be thought strange if the room plus the professor were serious criminal lawyers. what is strange and who decides it?.
i guess that will have to be my mark as i confess i don't really know what that means either. a mark as in watermark, or signature or sentence to be remembered by?
and i think i had almost all of you wrong as to gender which is totally embarrassing. i didn't think i was that slender witted but i am beginning to feel like i have the intelligence of a gnat. what is the intelligence of a gnat?......
"Now if you wish, like the dwarves, to hear news of Smaug, you must go back again to the evening when he smashed the door and flew off in rage, two days before." hobbit
Humm I like La belle too but Ode to melencholy is actually the only one I learnt totally as that is my faviourate one its actually why Nightshade popped into my mind when I filled in the user name box when I signed up. But To autum is supposedly his "best most complete" work
i'm late i'm late for a very important dateless event, because everythigns a dateless event when you are a freshman like me and they all have dates but not the kind that grow on trees, "they don't just grow on trees, Papa Bear" "yes they do! Brother bear"

It must be a record and probably a record that will never be broken. It's some sort of terrible monstrosity for administration to remove a thread such as this, the protests that would arise, there would be an organized strike of posting perhaps. The spirit of the forum, that cynical materialess insighter of imbalance comes out deviously in everyone here.
Simon should be banned for writing what we all are thinking. How dare you! (shakes fist in anger)
what cynisism
bah spelling spelling maybe someone cvould invent a time machine then I could go back in time and murder the guy who invented exams?? no wait ghe didnt invent spelling did he??
I can't believe that this fell so far back in the lists, we can't let it die!
we shall persist in keeping it alive. bring it back to the top! let randomness and off-topic-ness live on and rule!!!! AAAAH
There comes a time when all things should be laid to rest, why prolong the inevitable of the close of marking.
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (we shall not let it happen shall we smeagol...GOLLUM!! you have no control, we shall persist!! Ashes and pits !! AAH!!!)
and that reminds me anyone seen Foolonthhill recently??
no, but i do know one thing. i shall keep this thread alive till someone truly stabs it through the heart with a blade of mordor. and with rivendell so far away, i shall never be able to revive it.
arr, that be far enough stinky-ninja man, I challange ye to a dule!Quote:

Well, I'm back after a short trip. Drove the Millenium Falcon (my white 2000 Nissan Xterra) to Las Vegas and saw Zion National Park and then Death Valley, then up to Reno, Nevade to catch the Blues Brothers in concert, Helena, Montana to see some friends staying in Veterans house, and back to the Sage Brush plains of western Wyoming, middle of nowhere. Drove past Area 51, didn't stop. Oh well, its nice to be back.
It's good to have you back, B! I wondered where you were. Sounds like a good trip.
Hey Darlin. Thanks. I hope everyone enjoyed the break while I was gone.
