tailor ive gotten to be in paris a couple of times, once for 5-6 days or so, had a great time, what a wonderful place to visit! if you ever get to go, and you like art, I really recommend the rodin museum. and oh, if you can be there during the final stage of the tour de france, my goodness!
san Francisco: rice-a-roni (the san francisco treat!), trolley cars, hills, gays, liberal, the golden gate bridge, chinatown, the giants (baseball), Alcatraz, an old roller derby team from when I was a kid---the san Francisco bay area bombers, and star fleet academy!
the Mississippi river?

Flows upstream in major earthquakes (earthquakes being one of my interests), "Mark Twain", steam boats, Nauvoo, part of the Louisiana Purchase boundary, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Memphis, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans (I've been to Baton Rouge and Minneapolis... always wanted to go to St. Louis for its bowling heritage, Memphis for its music,... and would love to visit Nauvoo for its history), fur trappers, beavers, delta...
.
Next: Yosemite

(lol) My beloved skated Roller Derby in Oakland; I used to watch it on the telly w/ my dad. It's likely I'll never be able to leave Northern California ever again, well, maybe Nevada, Oregon, and Washington state to visit family. I have many wonderful memories of San Francisco: art/science/work/family/zoo/food (Oh heavens, what food)/Coit Tower/49er's/Giants/Warriors/piers (including 39, 49, etc)/Alioto's/ferries/Miyako Hotel/BART/Exploratorium/aquarium/Japanese Gardens/Ripley's Believe it or Not/driving the hills/beaches/Golden Gate Park (in general)...
-
ah how did I forget the 49er's! and that's pretty neat I reminded you about your roller derby connection. smiles...
hmm Yosemite---of course I have to say half-dome, el capitan, rock climbing and ansel adams. kirk, spock and McCoy camping there. bugs bunny's nemesis Yosemite sam and even though his home is the fictional jellystone park which sounds like yellowstone, I think of yogi bear too. yogi just seems more from California than Wyoming.

Frau Gormly, one of my German language instructors back in the day, was from the old Czekoslovakia.
I will defer to Pompey Bum for the next "country".

boy I had to look that up! but now that I saw it, I think I had a map of the world when I was a kid that had that on it. I half think the country was pink on my map, laughs...
all I can say is French and land locked and that Burkina faso sounds like the name of an Italian model I might like to date.

Any country with "stan" in it... and "Stanford" doesn't count.
