let the chimes play
hanging beneath a rosewood
pergola chiming without the
slightest breath of wind
hanging pentatonic tubular
chimes danced as an indignant
fault crept slowly at first
and then suddenly raced as if
chasing a rainbow underground
until the jazz music stopped

Running Tiger
Imagine a tiger rushing down the town
at dawn,
With more energy than synergy,
as he is running alone.
Will he be given asylum?

no shrinking violet among
the undergrowth a peapod
færie rummaged downstairs
on an epic scavenger hunt
for an ethereal solution best
described as a potion for
show and tell in class
father was somewhat of an
amateur alchemist so hopes
were high for something to
amaze her classmates with
to her delight she found a
stoppered albeit unlabeled
bottle of intricate design and
light pinkish hue assuring
her search had concluded
perhaps the instructor, an
overzealous elf, should have
used more forethought -
for bedlam soon ensued
to the young færies' delight as:
those closest becamebutterflies, and will-o-wisps
so transmogrified

Graffiti
Graffiti is a majestic
fluff of a cat,
who lives in the next square.
His color? You got it:
The finest shadows of gray.
And white socks
to go with a snow colored nose.
But like all cats
he is somewhat color-blind.
He has already been the subject
of a collection of photos,
a manuscript and
a poem without rhyme.
Mine.

rhapsody
I've listened countless times before
to glissandi that came in waves
that gave my gooseflesh life from
Zemlinsky's “Die Seejungfrau” to
Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love",
and certainly the haunting violins
in Xenakis' “Metastasis” - but nothing
to herald what next will transpire like
Gershwin's “Rhapsody in Blue” sent
streaming from my PC into a headset
at high fidelity rending notes to bliss

in a hidden passage
of the ever flowing
river, in their own

Little John
He had a wast repertoire
of baby tears to use when
he was inspired.
He always was.
He soon learned
that his emotion was
a magnet
that attracted company.
Even the mockingbird
made his presence
conspicuous
by singing
in front of the window.

All I can tell:
the ragdoll fell
in the inkwell.
An uncommon big
inkwell it was,
like a small dark pond
right beside the portrait
of the father
of the now blue
ragdoll's mother
The ragdoll attempted a flight.
But,
in an altruistic twist
the ragdoll´s friend
fell also in the pond.
So now there were two
Glistening in blue.
And that was it.

tired of playing "animal, vegetable, or mineral"
children were finally let out for recess -
outside in his jumpsuit one lad with large pockets
channeled a kangaroo and hopped around -
the juxtaposition of his prints in the snow and an
existential kangaroo's in its element was comical
somewhere down under
a kangaroo was dreaming
besieged by snowmen
