Tomorrow begins another week of working with my gross coworker. Would it be rude to keep my earphones in the entire trip?
I'm trying to decide between my very cute computer bag and my company provided backpack. The backpack is very useful and carrys all my airplane stuff very nicely but it's a backpack. My computer bag while not as utilitarian it will mostly do the trick but it is very cute.
Another trip. You're more out of the office than in. ;) If you're flying, try to get another seat away from him. If you're driving, than I think it might be rude to have earphones on.
I always side with usefulness when I travel. I tend to carry a lot more than I need. I like to have options.Quote:

Actually I was thinking of this thread this week. I was traveling this past week, but unfortunately I couldn't hook up to the internet. But then I got a lot of reading done. This was the first trip since December, and while I didn't mind it when on travel it sucks getting back home and having my whole routine screwed up.
Yeah, I know. I think I need an attitude adjustment, I'm already getting pissy at the thought of the up coming week.:flare:
Your probably right, I do tend to take too much, 2 mp3s may be overkill but after the last fiasco i'm not taking any chances. However another hottie coworker is going to be there and one does want to look good.:pQuote:

I'm afraid not. It was fairly routine. It was me and three other gentlemen, all at least ten years older than me. Only story is that I couldn't believe you now have to pay to check a bag at an airline. :eek2: When did they start that? And you don't even get a soft drink for free.
I'm full, all we ever do is eat.
I'm back in the great state of Kansas and it smells like poo (There is a stockyard near the plant).
I put on three pounds from a four day trip, and two of those days were spent flying. Between happy hour at the hotel and dinner and wine or beer at dinner, you can really pack weight on when you're traveling. I was able to get a forty-five mnute workout at the hotel exercise room one day.
arrgghhhhhh I'm in the midst of a bunch of blowhards!! So stupid - The guy is showing pictures that were taken with my camera another guy says wow that's a clear picture was that taken with a professional camera. The guy responds " oh yeah, my camera is a professional camera I have a blah blah blah." ok, but that picture wasn't taken with your camera... blech, I'm betting this wouldn't ordinarily bother me but you know how I feel about this coworker...
It may be the pillows. I haven't had a back ache all week the bed doesn't seem much different thn my own but the pillows are more firm.
phhheewww. Home.
Yeay!
blech, i just opened my suitcase and boy do my cloths stink!!! They told me I would stink after spending any time in the plant but I couldn't smell it that much when I was there, but now - blech.
ugh!!!
This isn't so much about traveling as it is about work. Why is it that if I make a general announcement about an ongoing project and ask people not to interfer and not to go near the area that's all they seem to be able to do???
Why, If I say don't go near the boxes do I have one person move the box to what he thinks is a better area and another guy "fix" the box???? Why??? I just don't get it.
Hey I'll be traveling all next week, starting Sunday. I hope I can get on lit net this time.
and good hotels should have wi-fi in their rooms.
doh!! even the bosses around here are nosebuds. I have other contractors here doing a job and a boss from a completely seperate and unrelated area is buggin me about my contractor's trash bins. The boss was asking me what they were going to do since the bins were full, when are they getting a new bin? It's my project and I don't even care about the bin "situation". The contractors are bing paid a flat fee, they've done this before and I think it's probably they're dealt with full bins before... sheesh nosebuds..
I find that I like wearing hats. There are some days I'll find myself sitting at my desk typing away and realize I still have my hardhat on, then I realize that I was in the plant an hour ago which would mean I've been sitting at my desk with a hard hat on, for about an hour. In some ways it's comforting, it makes me feel like I'm keeping all my marbles in...
Doesnt that give you a bad case of hat hair?
You realise paya that thithread is turning a bit into a blog? You should start a blog
:p
:D
:p
its esies to keep track of what you are writing about with a blog.Quote:
Then why do I need a blog if I have this thread???:D;)
Besides! you already have one. you just havent posted in it yet! With the new blog system, every member automaticly gets a blog set up for them. It just doesnt show until you post your first entry.
Its there so you might as well use it! :brow:
Good thing we know your kiddin' **nudge** :p
Seriously, Papayahed -- I LOVE this thread! And I am not sure if the coworker you have is the worst there is ... there are worse.... there are worse ...
[remembers time that after the workday was done and we were out-on-the-town-SOCIALIZING, a tipsy DIPSY coworker bubbled away at a table of guys, and I had to 'responsibly' get her out of there after a few drinks had been ordered for her .... ummmm ... this was not fun!]
ok, but I really don't want a blog. I'm fine reading other peoples blogs but I have an aversion to creating my own.
hahah, years ago at the company christmas party a coworker was trying to be cool and started off drinking martinis by the end of the night she could barely get up the stairs and we had to drive her home..Quote:

I'll be travelling, next week!
From Rio to Belo Horizonte (about in the middle of the continent ... a bit to the east, like Rio ... It's a seven-hour trip, by bus, ticket already bought! :D )
There's been a while, since last I travelled.
(Hm ... better say, both towns are in Brasil.)
