A Chav is someone in the urban districts in Ireland who is all hip hop. They are all little bullies, and they're just jack asses.
No I do not live in Ireland and we have Chavs round here ....
I'm not hip hop I just like shiny thing (clocks are jewelry are they, same with stairs). I think we should start a war with the chavs because....well they reasoning above me.Quote:

Magpies are actually members of the Crow family. This family of birds, which also includes ravens, jays, and nutcrackers, has evolved the highest degree of intelligence among birds. Members of this family have learned to count, can solve puzzles, and can quickly learn to associate certain noises and symbols with food.
They have been known to steal shiny coins, spoons, bits of aluminum foil -- even a glass eye.
or alternativley heres a dictionary definition
Quote:
magpie
noun {C}
1 a bird with black and white feathers and a long tail:
- Magpies are attracted to small shiny objects which they carry away to their nests.
2 someone who likes to collect many different types of objects, or use many different styles
Chavs exist all over the UK, however they are most commonly found in glasgow where they are referred to as "neds", the ned is basically the Chavs bigger, nastier brother. They do not necessarilly like hip-hop, but they do enjoy getting outta their head on MD 20/20 or Bucky. For further information see hereQuote:

Yeah I guess I should have included the whole UK aspect. And I forgot to mention that most chav's are the bratty little brother of some older jerk.
It really doesn't matter...I don't like little insignificant censored bossing others around just because their brother is powerful.
um.. question. Bong, when you're typing do you actually type the word "censored", or are you swearing and it replaces the word with "censored"?
I also wonder that.
I think it replaces bad words with asterisks. ***. Like that. If there are asterisks there, it's not because I typed them. :p
I'm just typing censored rather than getting angry mail- banning.Quote:

I am being quite serious here check the links I gave. You would get yourself killed by the glasgow version.
weapons , again and some more
classification of neds
ok I still don't like em and they've got nothing on the violence in NYC, Philly, Camden, or any of the other city places. (the gangs here use guns, assault rifles and other stuff like that) Most of the neds seem like street hoods that are easily manipulated by people in power... I can one powerful person using many neds to rob things without getting the blood on his/her hands.
I don't know...if I had a choice of violent deaths, I think I'd prefer taking one in the head from an AK than being hacked to death with a machete. But Mr. Bong-Bong is right -- there's more threat from American gangs because of the randomness of their gun violence. They can take out there intended victim and six or seven innocent bystanders in a matter of seconds.
Bong, its impossible to explain if you aint seen it just believe me. People use knifes and other things because its hard to get a gun in the UK (cant just walk into WalMart, for example). Also it takes a lot more guts to go up to someone and tear his insides out with a knife, than it does to shoot someone whilst driving away. I dont know if youve ever heard someone crying with pain (real pain) but its not pleasant. Also these people have no interest in being used as pawns and generraly dont get involved. Their main function is just to commit mindless acts of violence.
Also Camden? you're kidding right. Glasgow is still like NYC from the 70's.
I'm not saying you should like them, but you should recognise that they would do away with you in a matter of seconds.
Kilted, what about Canada? I think us Americans think of Canada as a great big Teddy Bear of a country with cute little Monopoly money and no violence whatsoever. How do you find, having come from the mean streets of Glasgow?
Right now I (a minor) could buy all kinds of weapons without any questions asked. I understand that it takes much bigger....alot more courage to kill with a knife rather than a gun, but I'm saying that the people here could take out hundreds of thousands of people. The fact that they murder for no reason is a little intimidating because alot of the killers in America have a reason (business, etc.) The entire world is really censored up! It's insane how much violence happens in the world and not much is done about it.Quote:

The only mindless violence I have encountered in Canada, is what happened to my younger brother (got jumped by three guys leaving a bar: ended up with fractured eye sockets/nose and jaw - leading to major reconstructive surgery on his face.) The police have a suspect, waiting for case to go through the courts.
On a couple of occassions leaving bars I have come across a few wannabe hard-men, however normally all of this can be resolved with a few well placed words before any violence is neccessary. Normally turn a pale colour when I inform them that despite the police car around the corner I would quite willingly introduce their face to my size 11 boot.
I think the main reason there is so little violence in Canada is because there are so few social problems, the kids dont have the disillusionment of knowing there are no jobs so they dont really get into the street lifestyle. Those that do are usually rebelling against their middle-class background and run at the sight of any real trouble
