goodness, AP, something told me that you liked to go here and there, but i'd no idea! how wonderful, all the places you've been. :)
i am inspired by smarmy, mundane things, that have value simply because i think they shouldn't be overlooked as so often occurs, stray phrases that accompany mind pictures that i have to try to write down the properly fitting words to, a dream i had last night - an epic poem that began:
"It rained in Lorchan this morning"
followed by a plethora of "I will continue...'s"
and the usual horrific, beautiful, quirky, terrible things that we see and feel all around us everyday. i am inspired by other art forms, in the sense that when any artist thinks outside the box, it helps to liberate my own sense of rhythm/language. by music - especially tempo, by experiences, by deep-seated desires, questions, fears, and hates. i also like writing that makes me slightly uneasy, exposed. and trying new styles.
i wonder is this too long.
an analogy: quilting...my aunt quilts; she recently made a scrap quilt, and for poetry i collect what i call "pieces of eight" - my latest additions are from titles to boggle games i began in an online setting:
"between promises"
&
"when the alphabet sneezed."
AP: very same question. :) :)
