How about Strange Fruit by Billie Holiday, the first anti-racism song in the world? I just downloaded it last night and I couldn't help but stand captivated by the poignant lyrics and tunes, still resonant despite its 69 years of hanging in the airwaves. Seriously, it's good. :) Lately I seem to have re-developed my passion for old music which seems to go pretty well with my infatuation with emo and mainstream/punk rock.
Haha, I'm getting an iPod Nano tomorrow (8GB), but I decided to hold off on asking for music recommendations. Not many people on this forum, I suspect, share similar tastes in music with me. :D
louis xiv
i've seen this band twice and their bassist is HOT.
Peter, Bjorn and John

And aBIGsheep, i noticed you put up a link of Justice. That band is awesome! I recommend DVNO
"no need to ask my name to figure out how cool i am" haha i love that.
O lawd, I don't get single tracks. I just go ahead and download the full album. Practically anything by Justice makes me want to hug and old person.
Have you ever gone out driving late at night by yourself and popped in their CD or listened to Stress? It's a real mood setter and spine crawler. I love it.
Montreals a good mood setter too. I have all of their albums
:DDD
yes! download full albums! but instead of just listing the name of albums i was listing single tracks so people can listen and get an idea of what the bands are like.
but listening to justice in the car is EPIC. haha i'm not sure how else to describe it. especially when i'm cruising down the empty highway at 2 in the morning. oh yeah. epic.
