 I thought of that too. Good luck.

I have two sugar gliders. I'll post pictures when I get a chance. Polly and Anna. I was going to name one of them Kamikazee, but my parents wouldn't go for it.
Sugar Gilders?? Are those birds, reptiles, fish, insects or furry mammals?
Cute names haha. I have two cats and a horse. They go by Boots, Snowy, and Tobasco respectively.
Guess you could call me an animal lover...I'm waiting to be accepted to university for animal biology with the hopes of becoming an equine surgeon. **FINGERS CROSSED**

WOW!!!:eek2:
You have so many animals. Would you adopt me? I would be happy among your dogs!
You even have a cow! Cows are soooo cute!!!
You have tigers??? How strange! How cute!
Well, erm, I don't have as much pets as you, but I am a real dog lover. Some of my best friends are actually dogs and I learn a lot from them. They have this kind of tolerance, loyalty, unconditional love and intelligence that makes them role models to me.
I had a German Shepherd named Mabrouck (but I called him 'Greuz') who died 10 days ago, but anyway, he is still with me. His picture is in my signature. And I have a Spaniel named California. You can call him Calif, but I personally call him 'Connard' which is the French equivalent for 'Bastard'.:D I call him this way because it just suits his personality, he makes me laugh. When my other dog was still alive, Calif would always eat the other dog's food first so that he would be sure that he would still have his own food in case he was hungry later. :D Also, when you yelled at him because he had behaved badly, he was so offended that he took revenge on my Shepherd by giving him a quick bite.
When my Shepherd just wanted to be left alone, Calif would go and poke him with his nose, just to piss him off.
When Calif wants you to have pity for him, he looks at you with this hangdog look, and whenever you look at him, he shakes and shivers, as though he were so coooold.
He cannot stand that another dog comes to my parents' house. While Mabrouck readily went towards the new dog to make friends, Calif growled, eyed the dog from the corner of the eye and went to his kennel. He still does that. If a dog come to our house, you can be sure you won't see Calif until the dog has left. And, of course, if you want to see him, you have to go to the kennel and ask him to please come out.:D
Other than that, he's a very nice dog, very funny. I've had great laughs with him. Now we are comforting each other from the death of Mabrouck. It must be difficult for Calif too, because him and Mabrouck had been together for years. Calif's pic is my avatar. Look at the arrogant face he has!:p
sure!!! ill adopt you! :D
nah! you can stay in my spare room with the huskies, all the others are outside, but it gets to hott for them so they are inside with a pool and mess. lol u can even help me train the new puppies!!! im excited lol this is our first christmas litter, all the others have been a week before or after, but these will be ready to adopt on christmas eve... yay!!!
the tigers i cant keep :bawling: i cant get my licence until im 21, i had my assisent licence last year, but my trainer i was under let his go, so i have to find a new one, these will probably go to the cat rehabilitation center in dallas
That's nice that you can adopt me and that I can live with your dogs. :D Plus, I see you're from the States, which is even better because I would love to go there. :D
I think working with dogs would suit me perfectly, because I am somehow a dog myself. :p Ah, I just love dogs so much.
Wow, you are young! You are training and taking care of all these animals already?? This much take so much time to take care of all of them! What is the name of your job exactly? What kind of studies did you do to make this job? This seems to be quite a wonderful job! If I did such a job, I would prefer concentrating on dogs only though, but the diversity of what you do is wonderful as well.
This must be just extraordinary to be in contact with tigers! I mean WOW. Even if you can't keep them yet, you are already very lucky, this is a unique experience.:)
lol okay, first off breath...
name of my job...which one.
well, i did 4H showing dogs and horses, and FFA showing rabbits
i spent 2summers as an aprentence to a wildlife rehabilitation center, where basicly all i got to do was clean up verry big kittys litter boxes. i had to go before a commitee, and convince them that i had the land, and the means to meet the needs of my animals. i have to allow a vet/wildlife official come out every 6 months to inspect my facilitys, and animals.
lets see, the foster parent, basicly my girlfriends mom works at a shelter and they where going out of town for a month and she convinced me to take on the litter she was raising and i fell in love with them and adopted the 2 that survived. and she still calls me when she gets litters to young to adopt.
basicly lots and LOTS of vaulenteer work, showing intrest, and cleaning up lots of poo... but it all works out okay becuase now i can pretty much have w.e. i want as a pet.
my official job thou is a lawyers assistant, and i take college classes thru corispondence, before and after school. it doenst realy take that much time to feed them, we have cat and food despencers that hold 50 and 20lbs which last a week, the horses and my cow have hay, so we normaly just give them oats every other day, the pasture is still good for grazing. the bird is inside so he can get w.e. he wants to eat, my spider i just throw in a handfull of crickets a week, the sugargliders eat like a handfull a week, and they have a small dispencer, and the mice eat whatevr we eat, we give them the scraps, and a little bit of stable food. none but my spider realy stays in a cage, dad is scared to death of spiders... but yeah it takes maybe an hour a day to check water and that mess and then 3 on sundays to refill the dispencers. its so hott right now none of the animals realy want to eat anything, its just water.. now when it comes bath time that is when it all gets fun... bc none of them like water... the duck and goose eat w.e. they find , i know that sounds bad, but i tried feeding them but they wouldnt eat, i think they feel up on all the random bugs that hang around the pasture. so its not so much time as expense.
yes the tigers are amazing. right now they dont have there pernament teeth so i can still play with them, i like to roll them on there backs and kinda shake them like you do puppys, they growl and try to bite you its so cute (playfully) they sound like housecats when they try to growl right now. but all in all they are spoiled babys, one sleeps on the foot of my bed, one in my bed, and the other by my door. anyone who says you shouldnt have wild animals for pets are wrong, thy are a part of the family, my lil cousin was over here and her momma was like put those things in there cage...it makes no since, becuase her daugher 4 adores them, and they where licking her shoes and rolling over and just trying to get her to pet them... some people make no since. the only real diffrence is about 200 lbs. lol. and they make better pillows than regular cats.
and yes im kinda young, 15 it wasnt so much studys as connections. the owner of the wild life rescue center, is a friend of my dads. my debate parners dad is a lawyer. i dated the wildlife managers daughter, and then my current gf;s mom works at the shelter.
i dont know, i do know that im extreamly lucky to be already doing what i love
My family owns one cat, one dog, and a few chickens. I, independantly from my family, own two cats. I will talk only of my beloved kittens for now.
I adopted two 10-12 week old kittens from the animal shelter over the summer.
Apparently, these cats were rescued from an animal hoarder who had 40 cats. These two kittens were horribly malnurished. They were fed spaghetti once a week. Spaghetti!!! They were rescued and nursed to health by the animal shelter. Now they are purr-fectly healthy.
The first one, Eve, is a short-haired mixed-breed cat. She is the more vocal one of the two. :D She likes to sniff people and she occasionally grunts (but you have to be really close to hear it). She loves being handled and, strangely enough, she likes to hang out with people when they're taking a shower. Here she is:

The second one, Carmen, Eve's sister, is a long-haired mixed-breed cat. She is quiet; at best you'll hear a little squeal (I don't know how to describe it) from her. She doesn't like being handled at all. Also, she has no boundaries; she is the rebellious one. Everyday she's either on the table or the counter. Here she is:

Dori those kittens are adoraable. My sister has one with the same pinkish-brown spot on the same place on the face. What a coincidence. And her's was rescued also in NY. I wonder if they're related.
Aww, Dori, those are adorable. Your Eve looks my Isildur, who is no longer with us because he liked to pee all over my son's things. He was very attached to Isaac and felt the need to mark everything he owned...all the time. We put up with it for quite awhile because he really was, other than an unhealthy obsession with my son, a fabulous cat but eventually I got sick of washing Isaac's bedding and coats and clothes and carpet and backpack every stinkin' day so he had to go but that doesn't mean I don't miss him every now and then. :(
Here's my pet, well the family's; she lives on Vancouver Island
her names Scampy
it was heartbreaking to leave her

and the paw is Rufus'.
My boyfriend and I just got a little cat. She's only 13 weeks old, and has been with us for a week and a half. She's adorable and her name is Tara.
She just woke up in this picture and she actually looks a lot older that she usually does.
Also, my avatar is a picture of her as a little tiny baby. :p
