Sleepywitch, I like your voice. Very nicely read, btw. You're as talented a reader (actress?) as you are a writer.
I sound like a kid. Everyone who calls my house thinks I'm Jordan (my 11 year old son).
Maybe I'll try reading something, though, and post it. I've got a video-clip of me dancing, so why not voice as well? LMAO
It pisses me off - I can't get to Kilted Exile's Voice!
Kathy - you're definitely from Boston. (--; Your comment made me laugh.
Koah - you have a nice reading voice.
Here's my dorky voice reading the first stanza of a poem I wrote.

hey i'm curious to know what is a good site to upload a recording, and one that you can hotlink/host to another site.(oh and free!)
Also i may or may not have a recording. but any suggestions of what i can say? (and you better not say 'top o' the mornin to ye!)I can use my camera as a voice recorder and i've usb connections to my computor, but i dont know what i should copy it to, or of any host sites etc
Oh I can´t wait till I´m home and can hear everyone!:D I bet you all sound lovely.
blah, I'll have to renew your guys' access to that webspace thingy... the link i posted was only valid for 30 days... I'll do a new recording of a different text and post it one of these days
Yes, I only had a trial subscription and that has now ended. I may at a future time add a new recording
Y'all sound so different from what I thought you would. I'll see if I can do even thought my English sucks and i can't speak very well.

I have retainers, so I talk funny. Go ahead, point and laugh. :p
Hahaha, I loved Devo kid. You sound great. A little nasaly but I expected a California valley girl voice, and no you don't sound like that at all. I would call it generic American which to my ear is more nasaly than a British english speaker. :) I wish I knew how to put my voice on the internet.
Hee hee. Thanks.
HA HA I knew it! We really are nasaly!
Well, I do say "like" a lot, which really bugs me, but it's kind of a given when you live here..
Alright, generic American it is. :D
Do you have an MP3 player? It might have a mic.
I know this makes me look conceited, but your post inspired me to do this:

It's a recording of some stereotypical Californian er, dialects or whatever. Like, yeah, whatever. :p The valley girl one is really annoying because I couldn't think of anything to say, so sorry about that guys. It would have been annoying anyways had I not had a brain esplodey. :p
 you have such a normal american accent Lily! But you are so funny! (btw is that host site free? gonna check it out!)
me
hope this works!
 Lily Adams, you cracked me up with those stereotypical Californians. Scary thing is, some of my highschool friends actually talked like that. Guess that's what comes of growing up in the OC. :p
Niamh--You have a lovely Irish voice. I'm all for sending a leprechaun around the world. Where do we go to make it happen? Edit: Found the "shall we" thread.
While at the office supply store today I happened upon a microphone and discovered that this recording thing is amazingly simple. Wasn't sure what to say, so I've given you a sample of the way I recently opened a survey course on Medieval and Renaissance literature. I recite the openings to Beowulf, Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, Spenser's Faerie Queene, and Shakespeare's Richard III. It not only amuses and bewilders one's students to start a class this way, but hearing the Old and Middle English quickly cures them of the impulse to complain about Shakespeare's language being too archaic to understand. ;)

Nice voices Niamh and Petrarch. Somehow I imagined you both a little different but not too much different. Very nice reading Petrarch. And Niamh I'll send a Leprichuan around the world. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do, but I'll go check out the thread.
