I envy you Koa. Go if you can. :)
Regarding the box set, I finally managed to check it out (thus making the owners of the cybercoffee I go to cover their expenses for several months), and sincerely I wasn't at all impressed (although I kinda saw it coming). The songs are pretty much more of the same, which is alright of course, but clearly not worth the dough they're asking for it, and not that necessary either. Anyone would be better off with their albums. Nevertheless, I did find some nice jewels, in case anyone is interested: Do the Hansa, A few hours after this..., Snow in summer, To the sky. Those are the box highlights in my opinion. The first 2 cds are fairly good, but then the quality drops dramatically in the last 2. On a special note, their cover of Young Americans is by far the worst theme of the box, and worthy of a place among the worst covers ever. Pity. Their Doors cover is alright though.

*pouts* not discussing the new album. It's gonna suck suck suck. Blah.
To quote South Park...
Stan: "Robert Smith of the Cure!"
Jesus: "Our Savior!"
-
oooh quoting...me doesnt like south park, so no thread about it :P
-
Never fear, Koa, I'm not demanding a quoting thread. Don't like it nearly as much as the Simpsons, but if you can get through the gross stuff there is always a really sensible and moral lesson (if you could call it that) at the end of each episode.

Oh man, I like the songs of The Cure even if they are so "old" band. I find their music kinda... emotional; how the lead singer sings, y'know. He feels what he sings. *laughs* My favorite song in their band is "Just Like Heaven".

So how did that album do?

LOL
I listened to that one like twice and never really gave it a chance...
Been really into Faith, the song and just occasionally the whole album, as of late...
I still think they're one of the greates bands of all time
