hmm.. I don't know that much about Sindhu, but I think she's here right now at the same time as me, which I think's pretty cool so I thought I'd throw a few compliments her way. Sindhu strikes me as very passionate about literature; books in general, not just society's idea of literature wink . Unpretentious and intelligent, willing to read Shakespeare alongside Judy Blume, and someone I'd definately admire for their english skills. What part of india are you in by the way?
From what I've seen of fayefaye's posts, she's really intelligent, ready to make up her own mind and stick to it- and very lovable in the way she uses the" " emoticon when she says she doesn't like Shakespeare or Conrad!
(You really shouldn't, IMO, you know fayefaye- your reading range is remarkable and you have nothing to go  about!) Someone said earlier fayefaye is certainly the forum sweetheart, I'd agree with that the whole way! And if I say this much now, imagine WHAT I'm going to say when I know her a bit better!
BTW, to answer your question, I'm from Kerala state in India, the southern most point of India actually.
I can't believe you think I'm intelligent based on my posts... 'intelligent' seems to be the standard here, though, so maybe in comparison with all the rest of you I'm average. Actually, I had a really bad day today (Hindenburg bad) ( so I really needed a compliment, though today I realised I actually.. somewhat hate being intelligent. oops I mean, you all know what it's like, right? I prefer behaving stupid, it's so much easier, happier.. Sorry, I'm bringing too much personal stuff here. oops
I think you seem like quite the sweetie, Sindhu, I don't know whereabouts that part of India is, but I have a lot of Indian friends (they're all incredibly nice, kind people-just like u!).. I can say 'You are crazy' in Hindi. D Do you speak Hindi or one of the other dialects? (hmm.. I think in the South they speak Telugu.. among others, but I'm not really sure)
Sorry to hear about the bad day, fayefaye. I wish you a better tomorrow.
You not only have the gift of intelligence, but also perception, and both can be a double-edged sword. Sometimes foolishness is a refuge, nothing goes too deep, so nothing can hurt. But then life is so empty. I think it's better to open oneself, even though it's sometimes painful, to the deeper and more meaningful experiences in life. For, while the lows will be lower, the highs are also higher and more rewarding.
Be strong, our fayefaye, I'll keep you in my thoughts today.
ihrocks
thanks ihrocks. i really appreciate that. foolishness is a refuge though, that's kind of what makes it so great, you know? sometimes i just wish the real world would just stop bothering me. It seems like the lows are lower, but the highs aren't any higher at all, lower in fact. cry sorry, have i hijacked this thread a bit? ok, i should probably get back on track.
ihrocks is kind and considerate. her posts are all quality. i can definately see why abdo would describe her as an 'angel of reason' because she definately is just that. I hope you have a good day, too. wink
You can't be foolish if you aren't fayefaye, if that hurts, its a curse you've got to live with. And, yes, the real world IS a pain most of the time and the highs are few- but there WILL come some among those few highs that make it all worthwhile in the final analysis. If they haven't come yet, wait, they WILL. I'm in the slough of despond most of the time myself, so I think I know what I'm talking about!
As to what you asked, I'm actually from South India and my dialect language is Malayalam, but I'm pretty fluent in Hindi too.
If thinking of you is of any help, beleive me, I'll be doing it! Hope today is better! :)
it truly baffles me that ppl could describe me as the forum sweetheart when you are all so kind and considerate. oh, but you'd be surprised. i can be foolish. a fool among fools. I don't like curses, you see. thanks a lot though sindhu. that's awful sweet.
I sometimes think that being intelligent is a curse. You see how the world really is, i.e. pain. Some moments are ok, they're the 'high'. At least stupid people are happy with everything and don't find problems in anything. Maybe they're the clever ones, and we are the stupid ones.
Back on topic, I noitced I'm not good at praising at all... but I wanted to say that fayefaye is intelligent to me in the sense that she can talk wisely or anyway in a sensitive mature way about stuff like literature etc, which I think is especially rare among very young people. (I think she's very young, though I'm not completely sure).
I also have a question, just for curiousity...is Sindhu female?
yes, i think sindhu is female. (?) intelligence is a curse, isn't it? I mean, you think more.. that can get ... I don't know. Stupid people are always happy.Quote:
