I popped in last week after being gone a while to find Jakobin had passed. At the time I was too shocked to say anything. I read through the posts, felt much as others felt, doubt, hope - that it wasn't true - pride in the members of this forum for being kind, logical, thoughtful and giving and finally I felt sadness at the realization that it was true.
I still don't know what to say. I loved his humor, his enthusiasm and love of LotR but I think it was his enthusiasm that I think of most when I think of Jakobin. It's his enthusiasm I want to honor and so once where I felt I couldn't vote for the member of the year I've now decided I have to. Maybe it's silly but it's my way of honoring him.
It's a hard decision though - who to vote for? So many wonderful people are nominated, all stand out for different reasons - it's no easy thing to choose one over another but I'm feeling a little better that at least I've decided to vote. Somehow I think Jakobin would appreciate it if everyone turned out and voted.
DEar all it gives me great pride and pleasure To annonce the Forum member of the year for 2005 prize goes to
drum roll please........
Jay!!!
Yay hurray and bravo   :thumbs_up :thumbs_up
Yuppy, its Jay.
Congratulations to Jay (Queen of Literature Network)
I can't picture Jay as a female. The avatar and name frames him as a male in my mind. Is there a picture?
NO shes chronically shy, then again Im not one to talk theres no pic of me up :D
I just wanted to dd that everyone on the list deserved to win and alot who arent on the list.
In away everyone no matter how frequent they come on is important even cruicial to the nice little comunity/society we have here. ANd so while lots of clapps and praise to Jay for being one of the Oldest and most dedicated members as well as being in alarge way part of the heart of the forums, whats the use of a heart without veins, arteries and cappileries.
And while were at it blood cells and a destination?
:D
Yuppy, Night: Every active member makes up the forum so my thanks goes to every active member or even some members who are here who do not posts much but share their wisdom with us sometimes.
Congrads, Jay! http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/pa...smiley-038.gif I told y'all my vote would win! Hee-hee!
Thank you all :). Wondering what responsibilities I've won with the award :p
Virgil, let's say I'm female. If you don't believe that, or if I emit 'wrong' vibes you're free to think me male to your heart's content, I'm not really bothered with that :p
You have to walk the runway with a crown on your head and stay unmarried for a year. Ala, Miss Universe.Quote:
