Furthermore, wouldn't the usage of this recently acquired brain endow you with the previous owner's thoughts and experiences? Wouldn't the natural colour and essence of your very self become drastically different?

Is it? Isn't it the detoriation of the neurological pathways that do that? What if you can tranfer and old consiousness into a fresh brain that has not yet deteriorated? Doesn't that mean the consiousness will be invigorated?
