Yikes! I don't think my mom knows how to turn on my computer. She thinks Email is a name you give your son! I have my own tv but she's always watching spanish soap operas. (Whyyyyyyyyyyy Maria!) :crash:

My mum knows how to turn a computer on but she just doesn't know how to get online . And even if she did, she wouldn't know how to make it work anyway. I've showed her some online puzzles and a puzzle game that I downloaded once. It's just a demo but she likes it. I managed to shift it over to her username too so she doesn't keep bugging me to open it on my username. I regretted it for a while because she'd sit there for ages. But now I sleep in so late that we don't clash anymore :D.
So how is everyone enjoying their time off of school? Hope you are all relaxing and getting lots of reading (and writing -- YAY) done!
I have put off reading Dead Souls (Gogol) long enough, and plan to bite into that book. I have been writing a lot of haiku lately, too. But mainly I have been trying to squeeze extra hours into my days, which is not an easy task, lol! Our family has a wedding in a day from now, and there is lots going on around here! I LOOOOOOOOOVE weddings! Cheers everyone! :)
^^ Congrates :D Who's getting married?!
And about the computer..well she knows how to get online...Something real funny happened once..she wrote the adress of the site wrong..and she ended up in a porn site ..trust me..she stayed away from the computer for a while after that  But she's back in habbit now..lol
Well, I'm loving my holiday. It's just like a really really long weekend. Haven't done any reading though even though I've got a whole stack of fantasy books on a chair somewhere that I got a couple of Christmases and birthday's back. I've only read one out of the stack and that prompted mum into getting the second but I've only read a bit of that. It was the first in the Banned and the banished series. Let's see what else I have there. i haven't looked at that chair for a while . There's an old printer and shoe box on top of them so I keep forgetting them.
Wow, they're a bit dusty. I have, from my aunt one Christmas (She has these in her book shelf too, I happen to know) (and this is in they order they're stacked, I know which one really comes first, it says so on the back ) The Amber Spyglass, Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and from my mum one birthday; Fire Music (though it now turns out that this is actually a sequel) and The Heart of Myrial and also there was Wit'ch Fire, which I read and now have the next in the series Wit'ch Storm. I know why my mum picked those three up. They all have dragons on the front or things that look like dragons. This has got me thinking, I really should start reading again. I've been thinking about but haven't been bothered to do it. Now I've got them out, I might as well start.
Thanks for the encouragement Kiz and by the way, weddings are always good the only problem is trying to remember who everyone is and how you know them .
Sorry, I've nattered on too much again :).
Hey everyone. Feeling kind of lonely around litnet lately. Anyone up for some coffee?
Me too!!
I'm going through one of these depression phases myself. You know, when you feel like crying or eating in the most unearthly time ever...lol
Brownie Nossa. Made them last night. I havent been around litnet as much as usual lately because of work. Maybe everyone else is the same. Too busy with work.
I guess I'm probably the only one round here who doesn't work..lol
And I LOVE Brownies...haven't eaten them in a while though.
Last night round 1:30 am, I ate chocolate cake..with some milk..who eats chocolate cake with milk anyways?!! lol
I've been known to eat weirder things at weirder times. If i'm getting up for work at 3.30am i could quite easily eat chocolate cake.
I used to work with someone who would eat in her sleep. She would get up in the middle of the night, have a bowl of cereal or whatever and have no memory of it in the morning, the only evidence would be the empty bowl sitting on her night table. She said she once ate an entire jar of pickles in that state and another time she woke up to find an empty jar of peanut butter and a spoon. That would wreck havoc with any kind of diet.
She doesn't remember?!!!! That's the first time I hear of something like this. Gosh, I wish I could eat and not remember, at least I wouldn't feel guilty about it afterwards
It was the first time I had heard anything like that too. I didn't believe her at first but I talked to her sister and she confirmed it, she said her eyes are open when she's doing it and you can kind of talk to her but her responses don't make any sense. I wonder what's going to happen when she starts spending the night at other people's houses. :p
I saw a news program a while back that reported such cases of people eating in their sleep as well as others things while on one of those sleeping aid products, I can't remember which one. Or was it a diet pill.....
There were a couple of programs about it on awhile ago. It's like an extreme form of sleep walking I think. Can't remember the way they dealt with it though, but somewhere in the UK there's a sleep clinic that deals with those kind of issues, so there must be others elsewhere too, surely.
I couldnt imagine what would happen if that was me! That has to be one of the oddest things i've heard all day Idril!
It's Ambien, which is a sleep aid and one that I take every night. I really haven't had a lot of problems with it, the only things I've ever done while on it that I didn't remember later were hair related, one time I woke up to find that I had french braided my hair at some point during the night and another time I woke up with pink sponge curlers in my hair.
I'm an insomniac and I've found out I write better when I'm sleepy. I just start writing and writing, fall asleep and when I wake up there are, like, 20 pages all around me.
I sleep walk, sleep talk...that is when I do sleep. This family that I used to babysit for, well she told me that every time I would wake up at night to write down my thoughts...or every problem, idea, thought etc. It actually works...I just empty my thoughts at night and I sleep decently...but then again, I don't really sleep til late...but I love waking up all snug and warm...and then laying there...bliss.
I sleep scream, its not very fun for those around me.
Hey i spmetimes am found to be acting out my dreams. I've been seen a few times counting out change to customers and the other night i woke up to find myself strangling thin air. Dont ask!:brow:
I laugh in my sleep  I can even hear myself laughing..like I KNOW that I'm laughing, when I'm having a funny dream  It's almost as good as watching a comedy, except for the fact that I don't remember what happened after I wake up :D
My brother Wayner (pronounced Way-ner) brushes his teeth, dresses up all in his sleep. Is so weird! I curse a lot in my sleep and start talking is totally random languages. Something like "Ich möchte mit den Fliegenaffen tanzen! Whee!" or "Bekijk alle mooie bloemen!" It just creeps people out. Once my friend Jazmin took notes and then googled some of the words and found it was Romani. What's weirder: I don't speak it!
That is odd baki! I wish I could be a multi-lingual sleeper.
I ran away in my sleep!! I walked right out of the house and my dad had to chase after me. He said he followed me down to the neighborhood park where as soon as I reached it, I turned around and walked back to my house. I tend to sleep walk/talk whenever I have bad dreams...which has been lately, thank goodness.
My brother always talks about iguanas in his sleep. My dad and his brother when they were younger, they shared a room...they used to have conversations with each other while they were asleep.

Once my friends cousin came into our room, asleep, screaming "THERE'S ICE ON MY UNDERWEAR!!!!" It was so funny we videotaped him :)
   LOL, Baki, you crack me up!
I am one who laughs in my sleep, which makes me not too popular with my hubby. Oh well. I have heard of women who do worse things in their sleep... my friend in another province woke up and saw blood on the pillow and it turned out she knocked out her man's tooth.... (there had been some alcohol involved but don't ask...)
And one time I was drifting off to sleep when all of a sudden, there was this giant snore .... which made me jump out of my skin. I wanted to think it was my hubby, but no. It was me. What a noise it was...
Yes, Niamh, I'll have some of those delicious brownies of yours -- I've not had any in a looooong time, I love chewy brownies! :)
Brownies...haha good times. Back in the day, with my first band...well, I made brownies to celebrate our singers birthday...our drummer threw one at me...and we just left it there. Two weeks later we found it...me and the drummer, well, we decided to try it. Which was totally disgusting!! But it tasted decent...chewy...haha.
Good times. Now, with this current band...we eat cookies now.
i'm such a pig. ate the brownies. (NOT the fairy kind incase your wondering. Chocolate fudge brownies only!:p ) Will some salted peanuts do instead:D
Something weird....I actually sleep in my sleep. :p
When I was little I used to move around alot and would often wake up on the opposite end of the bed, but now outside of the occasional random mumble I am a very boring sleeper compared to you ladies. I wish I could have seen Idril's face on waking up with pink curlers...
When I was little I used to sleep with my parents because I was afraid of ghosts in my bedroom, even know my mum keeps saying i have psych qualities *rolls eyes*
When I was little, I used to have night terrors. Not anymore though. One time I started freaking out in my parents bedroom, the spiders were gonna get me. They were huge. I swear they were real. Scared the hell out of me.
I'm getting my haircut tommorrow. Its really long now...or at least longer than it has been in a while. What should I do??
My husband paid his barber to cut my hair for me about 2 1/2 years ago and I ended up with a mullet. I cried so hard I puked. My hair was down to my rear end and then that. Now it's all long again except for my bangs which I am growing out.
I love long hair and hat to see someone cut theirs off.
I walk in my sleep sometimes. When I was little, I used to have two beds in my bedroom, they were close to each other. One night, I went to sleep on the big one, and then when I woke up in the morning, I found myself sleeping on the other. I was like..what the...?!
