It happens sometimes so no need to be sorry :)
I think it depends on the guest. If the guestis a nosy one and has came to critisize/tease you, I would prefer book's company.
But on the same I think I will prefer to entertain guest because I can understand how odd does it looks if someone has came to our house and we have our noses in our books :p

Now my question is Would you prefer reading a book, watching a movie, doing nothing or listening to a song in your spare time?

Yeah, I would. I read my favourite book 'Mill on the floss' in this condition in summer holidays.
But it depends if next day it is school or not.

Definitely, yes. In one state south of me, in California, I realize that the state had to close the John Steinbeck Library near Salinas, California, which surprisingly made me feel very depressed. On vacation anyway, I planned to visit there and debate justly, but I found out about it too late. :(

I put together a family recipe book with some of my own modified recipes in and once a year I update it and give it to most of the women in my husband's family.
