Be that as it may, don't you know better than to be questioning yer elders, ye scurvy lad?!!!:p
Am I not a pirate? Have I any more consideration for wenches or squires that have been alive longer than I have than wenches or squires that haven't? :D
May I be sayin' hale to ye then, Jim-Lad?
Ach, th' Pirates! Ye couldnae let puir Auld Arrow rest when he went willingly back t' Davy Jones' Locker, an' left th' lot of ye alone? Must ye dredge up me auld bones again, t' haunt th' scurvy lot o' ye? Faith, an' I were jest gettin' comf'tle loike on me bed o' seaweed, why'd ye have to go an' wake me up? http://www.celebrity9.com/img/johnny...ohnny-depp.jpg
Don't ye know it be "Talk like a pirate day" ? ;)
Blast yer boots, lassie, dinnae ye ken I were restin' fine, but nay, ye maun fire a broadside into me fo'castle an' dredge up th' Ghost O' The Dastardly, wan what sailed under Cap'n Stan (ater me death at th' hands o' Long John aboard th' Hispanola, o'course) didn't ye?
Why don't ye leave me boots be and celebrate this fine day, ye saltydog?
(Do you know that is a high honor in piratese to be called a saltydog?)
Yaarh??! The wench be anti-pirate, eh? :p
(sorry, Madhuri...did you know I just can't help myself? ;) )
It is quite peculiar that speaking in piratical brouge should be so intoxicating, is it not?
Sorry, Maddie, but do you know that my character, Auld Arrow, speaks not only like a shipmate, but a Scottish man? Have you ever read Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson? Auld Arrow would be Mr. Arrow, the one the pirates killed and threw overboard long before they got to the island, understand? I turned him into a ghost during the ship wars, as The Ghost of The Dasdardly and liked the character, and tell you the truth, do you know it's almost as hard to write brogue as it is to understand it?
Why are we doing so many difficult things then? Why not make things simple?
Well, maybe we would start out simple and then get more complicated as the day wore on?
Why not keep everything as simple as possible? We do we need to incorporate complex situations?
