Friday night I was alone and was in the mood for some Austen so I watched both Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey. They were both very enjoyable but I realized to my surprise that I haven't read NA so I decided to read it and found out I don't own it like I thought I did so I started MP instead and when I find NA I'll buy it.
Not to be missed 10/10, a laugh a minute.

I saw Breaking Dawn (Part 1) 2/10.
Watched 'The Counterfeiters' on DVD last night.
A sombre, if sometimes ironically-funny, true story set in Sachsenhausen concentration camp during WWII. In German with English subtitles.
8/10 - the film is excellent. I've deducted a couple of notches due to the nuance/subtleties missed due to not understanding German.
Subtitles rarely give the full flavour.

Just finished re-watching the fantastic BBC 95 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice - marvellous!
There's going to be a viewing void tomorrow night. Mrs Neely suggests we fill it with North and South, another great adaptation. Yes it is period drama month in the Neely household (previous to those was Jane Eyre).
Revisited Blade Runner as the lad wanted to see it. I had forgotten most of it - I seem to remember that I was drunk - it was a long time ago - and so really enjoyed it. I think the film focused on the stronger parts of Dick's story. Good film - 8/10
Just saw Cabin in the woods. oh so very interesting! not as much horror as I expected and more funny than scary. loved the idea behind it and good actors in it. Drew Goddard is a good director, he and Joss Whedon wrote the script together and it has Whedon fingerprints all over it.
the title says it all, a very cool movie!
Last night we watched "The Iron Lady" which I am giving a 10 due to Maryl Streep's performance. She is truly a wonderful actress. The movie was very good, but she is what kept us riveted to the screen.
Passion of the Christ
Horrible
My favourite writer once said that time is so precious that there's a perverse delight in wasting it; so recently, I watched a piece of nonsense called Kiss Me Deadly which was total B******s.
Staying in the same mood, I am thinking that my next YouTube film will be a monumentally crass melodrama as only Hollywood could make 'em.
Once seen never forgotten no matter how hard one tries.

I enjoyed watching Horrible Bosses. 7/10
I saw The Tourist and enjoyed it a lot. 7/10
I certainly agree.
I enjoyed The Tourist and Horrible Bosses (saw it twice), but the following stand out in my mind as perhaps not a total waste of time and I'd give them a 10/10. They probably don't deserve that considering the average ratings on IMDb are around 6.
