Just watched '(500) days of Summer' and it surprised me, I liked it. She (Summer) loved the Smiths, Ringo and didn't believe in destiny, you gotta love a girl like that, right?
I recently watched Last Orders starring Michael Caine and Bob Hoskins. Great cast and great theme. 9/10
Young Adult. I agree with jajdud, 6/10 seems like a good rating, although it was better than I thought it would be. It's a black comedy, btw.
The Hunger Games-8/10 I quite enjoyed it and I thought it was fairly faithful to the book. The cast all did a good job, but Jennifer Lawrence was still the best thing in it.
The Sitter. 8/10.
Saw The Hunger Games on Saturday.
It really did stay faithful to the book, which is pretty hard to do. Absolutely wonderful.
Jennifer Lawrence was absolutely amazing (as always), as well as Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson. I think they played the parts perfectly.
The first time in my life I have watched four movies I would like to rate 10/10 in a row! :D Maybe lately I am just being easily pleased! :p
The Scarlet Pimpernel - 10/10
Franz + Полина - 10/10
Stolen Eyes - 10/10
A Tale of Two Cities - 10/10
"Killer Elite" an action movie with Jason Stratham, who is apparently super cool in his movies, and even some Robert De Niro. Not bad but not really my kind of film or I wasn't in the mood for it. Give it a 6.
Blue Valentine with Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling. It received alot of nominations, including academy nomination for Michelle Williams and I can see why. Brilliant film 10/10.
I just watched Winter's Bone.
I didn't know what to expect, but it really was a fantastic movie. 9/10.
The Hunger Games, and I think I give it a 7.5. It was a good movie, entertaining, a lot of great social commentary, but not spectacular.
I saw Sideways yesterday, ever since it came out people have been telling me how great it is so I finally sat down to watch it and yeah it had some good parts but in general not as good as I thought it would be. I did learn a thing or two about wine and I really want to try Pinot now.... I guess I'd give it a 7/10
I watched In the Land of Women, from 2007 (I think), yesterday. It was decent enough but none of the characters felt developed enough and they kind of left me cold. 6.5/10
I watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and it's an excellent movie. 10/10
Here is a scene from this film.

People were rhapsodic about it when it released, but the sands of time have accorded it a more just place and now viewers new and old seem less emphatic in their praise. A.O. Scott saw this coming when he tacitly urged critics to pump their breaks a little back in 2005:

Today I watched the last 2/3 of Stardust, and it was an enjoyably irreverant take on fantasy films. I liked seeing De Niro in a role where he was perilously close to humiliation (as in so many of his roles in the last fifteen years), but ended up amusing in a most atypical fashion; still have to question Bobby's judgment in taking on the role in the first place though... Anyone sceptical about the film's merits should check out the bone-cracking fight between Michelle Pfeiffer and Mark Strong, provided your sensibilities aren't too fragile:
