We listen to this version at work all the time:

it's a slightly cleaned up version, which makes sense as it's geared towards children. :wink5:
When I was growing up, this was my favorite version of the song:

I was a huge Burl Ives fan as a child.
I too enjoy Burl Ives. My folks had at least one Burl Ives album that I recall hearing from time to time and of course who could escape the dulcet tones of Ives each Christmas.
Since Christmas is a long way off and we are in the season of insects, how about this...

The comments on this video are worth reading as they hit the nail squarely on the head, especially the one from the poster called 'whenromancewasking.' I feel sorry for the kids who realize that they live in an age of crap but at least they haven't been suckered like the majority and they still have Youtube to remind them that there was a time when singing and music meant just that.
Enjoy.

When the Music's Over - The Doors
Born blind in a desperately poor district of London, George Shearing became one of the most famous jazz pianists of his time after emigrating to the USA. No drugs or infantile exhibitionism but genuine musicianship.
Sir George Shearing, OBE (August 13, 1919 – February 14, 2011) was an Anglo-American jazz pianist who for many years led a popular jazz group that recorded for Discovery Records, MGM Records and Capitol Records. The composer of over 300 titles, he had multiple albums on the Billboard charts during the 1950s, 1960s, 1980s and 1990s.[1] He died of heart failure on February 14, 2011 in New York City, at the age of 91.

I'm having a good day in that I haven't got a "head-worm" today.
With me songs I can't get out of my head are usually bad ones that I would rather not have in my head.
The Queen is Dead by the Smiths has been in my head all day long

Drinking fresh, mango juice,
Goldfish shoals, nibbling at my toes,
