I feel very affectionate towards my geese danik, I bet your german friends feel likewise about their storks. oddly, I get ducks on my pond but in all the years ive been here, only once did a couple of them have babies. and I get the occasional crane/heron too, but never with a mate. pretty soon, if history is a guide, the local momma deer will return and have a fawn here.

i think poof and spritzer will be okay around each other outside danik, but I think poof's presence will keep her from being able to come and go as she pleases and i try to make it so that spritzer doesn't spend the night outside. I wrote poof's mother and told her id keep my eyes peeled for when they are next door working and we could work together to kidnap poof back home.
