Thanks
Hoping and praying. Speech therapy showing a marginal improvement. Classical voice slurring/massive headache/severe weakness on left side. Symptoms occurred just after a visit with his family... alone at his home: was so disoriented and vision impaired it took ~5 hours before he could call me with his cell phone... time / time / time. Still, he has the ability to wise crack with nurses and aides (though not always understood). He had heart surgery last August and was on the road to recovery.
-
Hoping for quick improvement, though stroke recovery takes time.Wise cracking is a very positive sign!
-
Just now at the hospital, he's sleeping - which he hasn't been able to do much previously... good sign. I'm using my Kindle... free WiFi though it takes forever to do anything (lol). His speech improving a bit more. His son turned his iPhone into a brick by accident... so new iPhone for him! Staff hasn't kicked me out yet.
-
Lol "Staff hasn't kicked me out yet". You are doing a lot for him. Does he live with his family?
-
No, alone... family 2 1/2 hours or more away, but have been dropping by more.
Mmmmm, need an m word... Mare: Tara got tangled in her blanket recently and was down in the middle of her pasture. We thought she had passed on but after a few minutes of tears we saw her move slightly and we moved quickly to get her untangled; struggling to get her on her feet. She's still stressed but luckily the weather has turned warmer so her blanket shouldn't be needed for a while.
-
Not staying alone anymore probably, even if his health improves. Congrats to Tara. Hope nasty blanquet gets out of reach :wink5:.
Now to the academy!
-
Thanks. His family is mulling over options. He's got 10 years on me and will need professional care.
Onward, pressing Onward ! Almost ready (shaved anyway) to face the day's onslaught.

My doctor recomended washing the eyelashes with neutral Johnson shampoo and lukewarm water.

I wouldn't have thought increased CO2 levels would increase pollen amounts by so much.
Wood stove going again round the clock as a moderate chill descends upon us... snow for a very short time today.
