That movie destroyed my happiness. That ending was brutal!
Last movie I saw?......to busy reading to remember.

Take the Money and Run. Early Woody Allen.
All round solid stuff, worth watching.
A Single Man starring Colin Firth (directed by Tom Ford)
Very Good movie. Indie film, so if you're looking for car chases..
Also, just saw Annie Hall again. Classic, best Woody Allen.
Yes it's a great film, I've watched it quite religiously over the last week and a half and I still feel that there are several viewings left because there is so much in there. Similar to Husbands and Wives and Crimes and Misdemeanours (which I've just watched again and got a lot more from it the second time). I love the flow of music in Woody's films and Hannah is particularly good - full of the usual moving jazz sounds and the recurrence of Bach doesn't harm matters either. Great film.
I don't dwell on any of his personal matters; it doesn't interfere with what I get from his work.
Top class. Only just behind Manhattan for me - a film I have banned myself from watching again for another couple of weeks or so because it is becoming an unhealthy obsession, although I'm watching some Woody Allen everyday anyway.
I'm currently reading one of his biographies by John Baxter which came today, recommended.
Well I've just finished watching the films Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources, which is really two parts of the same story by Marcel Pagnol, and I just can't recommend them enough. Truly moving. Go buy right now, that's an order!!

You will thank me if you haven't seen it and agree with me if you have...brilliant!
been watching a lot of movies lately but to name a few
X-Men first class it was great the best x-men I have seen I think. One or two things that bothered me but in general great Magneto was the best character in it!
Jane Eyre, I saw the 2011 movie and it was good but felt like a lot was missing and I am not sure about the girl who played Eyre...
Match Point is in my opinion one of the best (recent) Woody Allen films loved it !!
Cassandra's Dream, another Allen it was really good and I loved seeing Colin Farrell as the nervous guy
I loved Jane Eyre, Helga. It probably seemed like a lot was missing because a lot was missing, lol. Jane Eyre is a pretty long book. Of necessity they telescope a lot of the action, it seems to me.
Hollywood Homicide. 7/10 I've never seen it before and I always thought it looked silly, but it was surprisingly funny and endearing.
I Am Number Four. 7/10 Pretty good teen flick.
Tree of Life. 10/10 Terence Malik. I bow down before him.
Ramona and Beezuz.6/10.Gotta love Ramona!:D
Old movie, but just watched it-- The Wings of the Dove 8/10. (Based on the Henry James novel)
It was striking... and I do love Helena Bonham Carter. But I haven't read the book.. not that I think one should compare film to literature. They're different mediums after all, and each with its advantages and strengths.
Captain America: The First Avenger - 8/10. Decent superhero movie with a perfect ending.
King Arthur. 7/10 It's a good action movie, although the idea that Arthur was a Roman officer is a little hard to swallow.
Scoop, Woody Allen. Very good and very funny. Recommended!!!
The Human Centipede - 6/10 If it wasn't for Dieter Laser the movie would've have been pretty lame, but he really made it a 'fun' movie. (as fun as that kind of movie can get!)
Yes Match Point is an excellent film. I wasn't as fussed about Cassandra's Dream though. Scoop is another of Woody's London films though is much less serious than both of those, good light fun.Quote:

Tree of Life. Quite possibly the best film since 2001: A Space Odyssey. You must see this film and be forever changed. 10/10
