The Vicious Circle, an old black and white crime thriller made in 1957
starring John Mills and a host of acting luminaries from the period.

Today, I woke up, put in the Criterion DVD of Godard's "Contempt," watched it all the way through, watched it again with commentary, then watched all of the extras.
9.9/10
Last night I watched Last Year at Marienbad. I would want to watch it again but my initial feeling is that it is pretty good. First of all it looks amazing but more importantly it has a very interesting narrative. I have to look for a Criterion dvd so I can see a better transfer and get a bunch of extras. If you like the avant garde you should see this.
Last night it was Desistfilm, Wedlock House: An Intercourse, and Dog Star Man all by Stan Brakhage. Dog Star Man is pretty inspiring.
I almost watched The Act of Seeing with One's Own Eyes but I couldn't do it. It's Brakhage filming an actual autopsy. I started it but chickened out after a couple of minutes. I really should watch it though.
I watched Trafic by Jaques Tati. It's a curious film full of sight gags that you miss if you don't watch attentively. There are some funny ideas, and the humour is of a gentler genre than we tend to see nowadays.

I was fascinated by it the first time I saw it - about 30 years ago, and I still like it. 8/10
Just saw Hall Pass. Tons of idiotic, juvenile poop and dick jokes that would only appeal to one with a very immature sense of humor. Really a low, base, and cheap laughs kind of film.
I thought it was hilarious. 4/5
Last night I went to a theater to watch I Saw the Devil by Kim Jee-woon. Very entertaining thriller and very violent. I loved it. Check it out if you have the chance.
Just watched Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen... please don't ask me why, I really couldn't give you a good answer... I don't understand why they let Michael Bay make movies. Making anything this bad out of so much money should be considered criminal.
But then again, lots of people actually seem to like these movies, wich leaves me a little worried for humanity's sake.
I mean, c'mon, in the movie the pyramids of Giza are located at the tip of the red sea, when they really are by the Nile... Just for the sake of som arbetrary riddle.
It all makes me so very, very sad
Well I can honestly say I wouldn't have spent any money to see it, I was hanging out with a couple of friends, who aren't eaxactly picky about what they watch, to say the least. And thus they put it on, and well, it's not like I'm not gonna be with my buddies just because they have some unfortunate tastes in... Well everything really, but that's another matter.
After the Thin Man - Nick and Nora are in New York and Nora's cousin asks them to for her missing husband. Nick Charles investigates as only he can. Fun movie. 8.75/10
Eyes Without a Face by Georges Franju. Classic horror. Great creepiness and gore.
I watched some Kenneth Anger shorts last night. I haven't seen much yet but so far I'm not a huge fan. Though the fact that some of his movies feel like they were made 30 years after they were is pretty interesting. That said, Eaux D'Artifice is pretty awesome. That kind of movie can get me to like Kenneth Anger.
