i have a lot of respect for Native American spirituality and and some of my own spiritual beliefs are influenced by it and very similar to it in many ways I would most likely keep them, display them use them.

I suppose it would depend on the reasons. If the guy was really a good guy and my parents were just being jerks for whatever reason then I wouldn't refuse to marry someone just because they didn't like him but if there was some legitimate reason not to like him then hopefully I don't let my rebellious stubbornness lead me into a bad choice.

In my married world, I would say no. In single life, it depends on whether you want to sacrifice a friendship for a romance. I wouldn't recommend it personally, but all's fair.

Probably remain closer with whichever one I was better friends with, but I wouldn't get too involved, I don't really like those sorts of conflicts.

Here's what you do: you say, I love you both and I hope this painful time is behind everyone soon. Then keep the hell away from both of them for about a year (focus on something going on on your life). After that, you will still have two friends. If not, you will loose one or both permanently.

I would never blackmail anyone. It's a good way to get killed.

I do honestly have a very attractive first cousin, but no, I wouldn't date her unless I was convinced she was my soulmate or something.

No, in the real world suggesting such a thing only makes trouble. Instead I would complain that I was feeling too paunchy and insist that we start going to a pool (or gym or something) together. She will already know that she needs to lose the weight, and will jump at the chance to ascribe the need for exercise to my "problem."

For (religious) theists: if you were in the same situation, but found that your religion was all wrong and in fact a big part of the problem, would you feel frightened or overjoyed?

Obviously, nobody knows how he would react. I would like to think I'd be both frightened and overjoyed, all at the same time. If the shepherds were "sore afraid" when they saw the angel, I imagine seeing God would be even more frightening.
