danik the latest cat news is that I found out poof belongs to a neighbor and she's since been released "back into the wild" so to speak. although, she spent all day yesterday on my front porch despite my having taken her back to where she lives.

Well, I hope the neighbor takes her in, after her outdoor adventures. I thought she was male. You gave her the name of that A. A. Milne
bear. Spritzer must be relieved, but I don´t think, poof will give up easily: " Will you leave me standing outside in the cold because of that darned cat?". Harmonizing nature isn´t easy! Wishing for the best for both cats and you!

why thanks danik. poofs owner told me shes an indoor/outdoor cat and as it turns out, she has a brother or sister there also. i was glad to hear that. they have a cat door on the garage if they want to get out of the elements and a coal stove in the garage when it gets really cold. I think more than anything she was just seeking some attention and I suspect she'll be back every once in awhile if she gets too lonely. edited to say---shes actually back on my porch right now.

yes, spritzers much better---although its kinda funny, it took her a day or two of still checking out the lay of the land to make sure it was safe to go from this spot to that spot.

bounty, it is obvious poof loved that attention she got from you. But she already belongs to a cat loving household. She might visit you, but it seems that she wants to drive Spritzer away to have you just for herself. Anyway, I guess things will slowly get into shape again.

she spent all day yesterday on my front porch and is out there again right now. one tough thing there is that my front porch is where I feed the birds. the challenge for her is that my neighbors aren't presently living in the house. its one they are building and so company for poof is hit and miss. I know she's hungry and I feel terrible not feeding her but if I do feed her, then she stays here, and then when the weather gets really cold she'll go under my house as opposed to back home where her sister is.

Well, hopefully the weather won´t get to cold. There is no doubt she loved been kidnapped. Problem is you can´t explain to her, why she is banned now. If she is persistent as she seems to be this may take weeks. Home with sister doesn´t attract at present. Well, let´s hope for the best. I had a similar situation, with a neighbor cat I took in for a few days for a recuperation, but which I didn´t want to adopt.Ultimately the cat went back to her family and the neighbor.
