Wouldn't it be great to have root beer made the old fashioned way, like in the early 1900's, when things were pure and adding pollutants to beverages was unheard of....
WOOT, then we could have genuine Root Beer Floats! And I could play the Root Beer Rag, a very wild piano piece written by Billy Joel, if you can believe!
I dont think i've ever had root beer. Whats it like?
Pretty good - not as good as Sarsaparilla, though. :p
The flavour of Root Beer is kind of hard to describe, I think that Robin provided a good answer. But the best thing about Root Beer is that when you pour it, there is a huge foamy head, which I try to slurp off quickly, before it dissipates.... **yummmmmmmy**
It is really hard to describe a flavor like that as it doesn't resemble anything else. Sometimes you can get away with it by making comparisions, but that doesn't really work with rootbeer or even sarsparilla.
Would you like me to mail you a can, Niamh? ;)
I think I'm just gonna watch you guys eating and drinking and....*the pain* and having fun..*runs to the corner and cries*...Okay..that was a little too lame..lol
Erg? Sarsparilla isn't an alcoholic beverage. There will be no giving of the eagle eye on my watch! :p
Eh.. Right... Okay... I might be a bit confused. But a well! I'm sure its nice anyway!
Sangria Anyone?
Oh Sangria! :D I looooove virgin sangria.
We'll need some nachos and salsa with it though...

and some mini fajitas!
This is sangria!
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...x427/drink.jpgQuote:
Sangría is a wine punch which originated in Spain and Portugal. The word sangría comes from the Spanish sangre meaning blood. It typically consists of
red wine,
chopped or sliced fruit,
a sweetener such as honey or orange juice,
a small amount of added brandy, triple sec, or other spirits.
lemonade or another soft drink
Because of the variation in recipes, sangría's strength can vary greatly.
I had sangria in a Mexican restaurant a while back and they had put taquella in it! Very strong! But very nice!
Good afternoon ladies. Do you still have any cookies going spare? I've been away and my attempts to keep up with your conversations over some of that time proved difficult, so in the end I gave up and got back to working. But now I find myself with little to do and thought it would be rude to be passing and not pop in for a visit.
Hey Bluebiird. *rummages around for snacks*
We have cookies plus a few other things...Taste great, 0 calories, since some of us expressed a concern. :)

**Kiz_paws has had a wee bit too much chocolate tonight**
Who wants to join me in flamenco dancing?
I'm not much of a dancer, so I'll just sit here and scarf cookies.
Actually..I like that idea better :D
O.k I would like a large hot cup of java. 2 creams and 1 sugar. Oh and a shot of expresso please. So, where were we??
Oh please join the fun biblio! We need a good dance instructor, although I worry about everyones coordination after dipping into that sangria...
How should we approach flamenco?
Actually, Drama, the Sangria just might help..... Flamenco is a dance of passion! Free yourselves from self-restraint, summon up all of your longings and desires, and let all of your feelings flow out ouf you through the gyrations of your bodies.
Sounds exhaustingly sensual, and all the better for it!
i'd love to learn ballroom dancing! My dad used to be a ballroom dancer. Has medals and all. At my 21st birthday he had my mam up Jiving. And they are in their sixties!
Kind of like the original dirty dancing! :D
Thanks.... honored to be allowed to be "one of the girls"
With dancing it's not how well you do it ...it's how much you enjoy it.
NEVER too old to dance!!! It keeps you young.
I second that! Jive is quite a workout.
WOOT, this place really is livening up! Welcome to our humble little place, Biblio, and yeah, I'd love to learn that flamenco dance (and maybe some jive, too, that looks like wicked fun!).
Niamh, you really cracked me up with :
 :lol:Quote:
mybe i should tell her that just because its my weekend off... i dont fancy being on my arse for the whole of it!
You're right, i do enjoy it a great deal.
But there are few men that really like dancing:( .
It was funny seeing the guys that were draged by their girlfriends to attend dancing classes:lol:   .
