Oh, thanks, mom, i think it was because of sour-cream. It's not reasonable to eat it in summer. I just forgot that I had same sickness because of having salad with sour-cream last summer. It would be good lesson for me.
Now I feel better. But afraid of eating.

Poor Ravana! :( I'm glad you feel better. Food poisoning is so awful -- I once got it from fish and chips at a restaurant. I was out to lunch with my dad, and afterwards he wanted to go poke around in the antique store. While we were there I started feeling sick so I went outside to sit on the car and wait for him, and while I sat there I stared at a sign on the building, and realized that I had forgotten how to read. I was that delirious. For the rest of the day I lay on the couch and couldn't even form words to speak, I was just like, "Aauuooggahheerr..." :eek2: Then the next day I was perfectly fine. Weird.

Two of our orphan kitties went to new homes last night, too. :( They were the two rambunctious ones, so it's really quiet here now. I miss them. But the people who adopted them are young women who work with my mom, and their male counterparts, and they live across the street from one another. :) So the kitties can visit each other whenever, which is great.
Ooooh *imagines the cats going to the other house like they were kids*
Back on careers, I study languages & lit. too, and I have no clue of what to do... I don't like the idea of teaching at all - that's why I chose a specialisation that should be useful for the publishing industry but infact I doubt it will and if I go on with my studies I'll do something totally related to literature and language even if at first I avoided it exactly for fear of ending up having no possibilities but teaching... Now I realised that teaching doesnt necessarily mean teaching to a bunch of hateful kids who dont give the slightest damn about what you're saying, cos there are courses for adults or anyway people who chose to follow that particular course... But still, I'm not sure I like the idea of teaching much, if it's language it's too scientific while I'm not really fond of rules and grammar etc, cos I'm mostly instinctive and often when I help my brother with English for example I can't really explain things cos I learnt them very naturally (uhm maybe for other languages I'm more aware of grammar and difficulties, but if I teach I see it more normal to teach English cos I'm more fluent). Oops I'm going too random...

There are some bacchanal squirrels in the trees out front that are totally trashing our front walk with the leftover chewings of their nut feast. Anyone else find squirrels creepy and gross? (I apologize if you are one)
Speaking of walks, one of my biggest pet peeves: there are hardly any sidewalks around here, narrow streets, crazy drivers, and construction EVERYwhere! AAaah!!
Just reading your posts about teaching..and inspiring little kids to learn. Do you realise what a great gift enabling someone to read is? Especially kids that are dyslexic and have great problems learning? Let me tell you..its one of the greatest gifts you could give to someone. I know lots of adults that can't read and it affects every sphere of their lives, not only because they can't read, but because of the prejudices they come up against..because if you can't read you are thought to be naturally stupid - and it isn't the case. Even Einstein was dyslexic. Lots of men are violent because they learned to use their fists to earn respect because they can't read and have been 'done down' and insulted at school. Underneath they are lacking in confidence and are hurting - their 'toughness' is a front to hide it.
That is usually the case. Unfortunately, I know a guy who is actually proud of his illiteracy!!! Can you imagine that? I nearly fell to the floor when I heard that!Quote:

i think that is perhaps to keep people from yelling at one another....some sort of censor like that which removes um...foul (fowl) words!
VBM - do you know that when hens..and chickens argue, they hurl fowl words at each other..ouch!!! Oh dear. What I wanna know is.. what's the difference between a hen and a chicken?
uhm...female and male maybe? that's what my translating mind says...
my fowl words was sort of a pun type joke. i know that bad words are foul words... but i know that the censor sometimes picks up things that are not intended to be foul, like when nome was talking about his shuttle****s..so i was making reference to the fowl that is censored as well as the badness....perhaps that was just totally overexplained, but whatever!
anyhow, hens and chickens are sort of the same thing, i believe....hens are what female chickens are called, and male chickens are called roosters. sort of like a female horse that is full grown is a mare and a male is either a stud or gelding. (baby horses are a different story, collectively they are called foals, while the males are called colts and the females, fillies.....seems excessively complicated)
