woohoo! Larry is on the move!
there should also be a note book/ diary for you to write in about his trip or what ever you feel like writing!
Tell me about larry!
Thanks for clearing that up! :)
Poetess, if you go to the beginning of this thread, you can follow the adventures of a little leprechaun named Larry and his travels to the various LitNet member's places.
If you want to join up, and have Larry stay with you, then I believe that it is Niamh that you will want to contact, or just make your wishes known here? Hope this helps. :)
Thanks Kiz :D
I`ll definitely try to manage having Larry here. When i`m ready i`ll you guys know.
Larry made it just in time to join us on our trip to Surfside Beach. We were actually going to North Myrtle Beach, but the place we rented was filthy so we found ourselves an open room at Surfside Beach, which only a few miles away. Here's what Larry has been up to:

Larry looks at the Atlantic Ocean from the balcony of our sixth floor room at the Holiday Inn. We would have gone down to the beach, but blow-off from tropical storm Fay was stirring up some major wind at the South Carolina beaches. Some people seemed oblivious to the sand storm, but I didn't like having sand blowing into my eyes and skin so we decided to take our party up to the balcony instead. Larry was fine that.

On our last full day at Surfside, it rained on and off all day (more on than off), so we sat in the hotel room for a while trying to figure out what we should do instead of lazing on the beach. Larry finds the Souvenir Salt Water Taffy purchased from one of the many souvenir/beach gear shops that line highway 17 from Garden City to Myrtle Beach, and he is eager to give it a try. Larry agrees that the taffy is not that great, but out of boredom he eats piece after piece of the wretched stuff.

After eating way too much taffy, Larry is bouncing off the wall and desperately wants to go down to the beach. I was reluctant to take him down the beach because I knew that as soon as we got down there it would start to rain again, since the rain showers were lasting longer than the rain-free intermissions. Instead we venture out to the balcony again to do some serious people watching. Unfortunately, there is no one on the beach except the lifeguard, who apparently is required to stay at his post even when no one is in the water. To pass the time, the lifeguard builds a sandcastle, and hyperactive Larry sneaks into the photo as I try to snap the picture of the lifeguard and his sandcastle. That little speck there that you can barely see is the lifeguard (I forgot to turn on the Zoom function :goof:).
great pics, shalot. Too bad the weather wasn't very favorable for ya.
Yeay Larry is with Shal!!!
I'm sorry the weather is so crappy. It seems to be a problem all over the world at the moment!
And great pics! Love the last one.
That's great Shalot. :D But I would keep a watchful eye if Larry goes into the water. I'm not sure Leprchauns can swim and he may get sucked under. Have a great time on vacation. :)
Great pics Shal!
Larry celebrated Labor Day with me today in downtown Knox Vegas, Tennessee. We visited the Downtown Grill and Brewery and we had a Downtown Blonde Ale:

Larry liked the home brew a little too much I'm afraid:

But, he got a second wind and thought it would be fun to goof off with this guy rowing his boat in the concrete:

And here's just another shot of Larry and the statue in downtown Knoxville in front of the bank:

 i just pissed myself laughing at Larry on top of the Beer!
That statue must be huge! Larry looks tiny!
Thanks for the great pics Shal. Hope you both are having a great time!
Do you think he might have grown by the time he reaches Europe, or has he passed his maturing years?
 Glad to see Larry's out enjoying himself. That pic. of him with the beer is classic Larry!
