Bartender: Starring Tom Cruise. I give it a 4/10. Classic story of guy gets girl, loses girl, and gets girl back. Very predictable story line the entire way through, there's even a suicide that's meant to really throttle the audience. Even though the most half-witted audience can see it coming. I really hated this movie.
Metropolis. Japanese animation movie about a future with robots that do the nastier work of societal life. Very interesting soundtrack, music sounds like big-band Americana in a movie where the characters speak Japanese. Also, the environments were rendered extremely well. 7.5/10
Can anyone believe that I had never seen Fatal Attraction until tonight? Why I have not taken the time to see this film, I have no idea, but I found it creepy, in a weird karma-like manner (and I had never seen Michael Douglass and Glenn Close looking so young). Fabulous movie, anyway, reminding one of the dangers of having an obviously unethical life. ;)

A tale of two sisters - Korean suspense. Spooky enough to make me turn all the lights on when I came home after the movie. I am very impressed with the quality of the korean films IŽve seen so far. The photo is beautiful, the actors are very good - especially in this movie. This movie tells the tale of of two girls who come home to their father and stepmother after living in a mental hospital.
IŽll gladly recommend it to anyone that is in need of a high quality scare.
Batman Begins, at least as good as Tim Burton's first Batman. I love the darker approach Nolan took. Very good acting from Gary Oldman, Bale and the guy who plays Crane.
Yesterday I saw The Italian Job, a good film for dreaming like people.

I finally managed to watch House On Haunted Hill (1958 version), a very thoughtful gift on DVD from Psyche, who knows of my love for nostalgic films. The film fulfilled every expectation I had of making a mind-bending story, especially for its era, but ended somewhat abruptly. I have yet to see the newer version of House On Haunted Hill, made in 1999, I think, but have heard more bad than good things; maybe I will get around to seeing it sometime.
My rating: 8.5/10.
Earlier this morning, I watched Bush's Brain after many, many recommendations. I found the documentary (mainly about U.S. politician Karl Rove) very enlightening, controversial, and depressing, similar to something Michael Moore would write and direct. I know I cannot go greatly in-depth about the film, as it regards much on the subject of recent U.S. politics, but I can say that I found much truth.

Not until earlier this evening did I finally see the whole of Suburbia, before watching only fragments on several occasions.
Surely, I can call Suburbia one of the most depressing films I have seen, but also one of the most insightful with a message that pierces any mind (which I will not spoil for those who have no watched it). True, the very interesting story did contain some relatively offensive scenes, but, I think, it contributed much to a darker side of realism.
My rating: 9/10.
