yeah, I think Cache might be the best of all of his films, but White Ribbon is a pretty close second.
It got nominated for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Cinematography at the Oscars this morning.
Also, The Hurt Locker and Avatar lead the Oscars noms 9 to 9. Oscars has prepared for the greatest ex-husband and ex-wife showdown ever between Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron (Inglourious Basterds is in 3rd place with 8). I'd like to see The Hurt Locker win all of them, but I wouldn't be incredibly disappointed by a Basterds best picture win either. :p
EDIT: and i might add that the whole 10 nomination is sort of a big joke, as The Blind Side has absolutely no chance of winning anything, except Sandra Bullock who will probably win for Best Actress. The only films that have a chance are the ones that were also nominated for Best Director. But I have to say hurrah for Clint Eastwood being shut out this year, and i'm so happy that Up was able to become the only film other than Beauty and The Beast to win a best picture nom.
