I think I need a new avatar.
One of the blogs reminded me of my favorite billboard. In big letters it says "Got Balls?" and in smaller letters underneath it says "We've got gowns.":lol::p
Above post reminded me of the ad campaign, "Got Milk?" which I HATE! No, I do not. I hate milk!
I wonder how they roll cigars. I think i'll go look that one up.
Love is something you grow into, much like your laughter.
sure wish I could find a job.

Computer keyboards in Demark = mono going crazy!
It took me some 30 minutes just to type an analysis on a short passage from Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, for crying out loud! I consider myself an above-average typist, but this has driven me mad.
 ...
mono you can switch the keyboard to american as long as you know how to touch type.
:D
*sigh*
Ah, my Queen of Smileys, I would if I could, but I have gotten used to it a bit. Most of it seems the same, but I trip on keys like 'æ,' 'ø,' 'µ,' and '£.' I will conform somehow, though I feel a bit bitter about my laptop having some errors with its WiFi . . . grrrr! As sub said in another thread, I will likely get back to the States and, after getting so accustomed to these keyboards, think the American keys unstructured and confusing.
Sometimes I think some people live by the creed, "Live and let give."
Oh I doubt that chuck, see I was in prague for 3 months and I never got used to czech keyboards being differnt from english ones. Its bad enough that in my house yyou never know f you are going to be using an american or english keyboard- or heaven help us an arbic one. but add in even more symbols? :eek2:
Why don't they have the classes I want when I want them???
The big bag con.
Ok, so as of May 1st a lot of the supermarkets around here have started charging 5c per bag - they are doing this under the pretense of being being environmentally responsible and encouraging customers to bring their own bags. I might buy this if the charge was only applied to plastic bags, but they charge for paper ones too - also the money is going into the store's backpocket and not to any environmental cause to determine ways to reduce landfill use (bags are recyclable)
I did some quick math and here is the extra revenue the stores are generating, but first some reasoned assumptions:
Average of 4 bags per customer - I am using an arbitary number here, but do not think it is absurd as for every person coming in and only leaving with one bag you can find someone doing a weeks shopping for a family and leaving with 10
Average of 950 customers per day - I work in retail in this town and am very familiar with number of transactions per day, this is a very conservative estimate
so now the figures:
$0.05 x 4 x 950 = $190/day x 365.25 = $69,397.50/year in extra income! Wow!!!
