Hi
Hi everyone!
I have always loved literature and my senior year in high school, we spent the entire first semester reading existential works which started my love for existentialism. I am a French major, however, I will always love literature. That's about all I can think of for now, but I look forward to meeting everyone here and talking about literature!

Hello there!
I'm very new to this forum, and quite happy to have found a place online to share ideas about literature.
I'm a recent college grad (English major) from Pennsylvania, but am currently living in France, where I'm working as an English language teaching assistant in a high school.
I love to read, write, and learn new languages, as well as travel. I've been fortunate in the last few years to have had the opportunity to live in Istanbul, Turkey for four months, and to have gone on a research trip to Nepal. My literary interests are diverse, but I'm particularly fascinated by the English Restoration Period, Gothic literature, representations of the East in European literature, and the postmodern. I'm currently finishing up Wm. Somerset Maugham's masterpiece, Of Human Bondage, which I have enjoyed immensely.
I look forward to many good discussions here!

Newcomer of 2011
I was surfing the internet wondering if there were any literature forums just like this. :yawnb: My ethnicity is Korean and have always been interested in English literature, although sometimes it is difficult to process the extremely artistic way of some pieces. My Korean name is Hong Chang Bae but I go by the name of Steve.
My hobbies include : singing, writing, reading, running, smoking(I am not sure if it is considered a hobby), organizing, and so many more.
I like any kind of literature that requires me to think and rethink to understand the idea. In other words, I like DEEP literature. :yawnb:
By being involved in this forum I look forward to meeting new people with similar interests as I have, and also I am looking forward to be criticized for the writing pieces that I want to upload!

Hi folks,
51 year old mathematics academic here, with a serious love of reading. Currently reading Arthur Hugh Clough's "The Bothie of Tober-na-vuolich" and William Cowper's "The Task". I am in fact very inexperienced in reading poetry - especially long poems - and I'm looking forward to some discussions on these boards.

I just wanted to know about an old etching of Stratford upon Avon signed by C. Dickens...and was directed to this forum. Had to sign up to see if there were any answers. There were. No goldmine in the etching but this is a rather interesting site for me...a bibilophile. Looking forward to dropping in from time to time.

Introducing myself
I am new here, and I have posted a few times. I am an educational assistant in a middle school, I work with special needs students.:banghead:
My favorite book so far is "The Great Gatsby". I say so far, because I have not read all books. I intend to read more of the classics, and I think my next venture will be a Saul Bellow book- "The Adventures Of Auggie March". I really hope that's the correct title, or, :iamwithstupid:

Hi everyone, i'm new to this site but thought it looked like a good place to meet book nerds like myself. I'm looking forward to discussing literature and making some new friends

thanks for the welcome
It is a pleasure to be here. I am not an intense blogger. More occasional voyer into the creative minds of us writers and readers in pursuit of our diverse minds seeking new horizons, manifold perspectives and insightful revelations. To be shared at times on introspection. Or rushes of exuberance between creative bouts of genius. [I pass here haha-my brain is simply manic at times and out of control.] It’s great to be here. Given I am in to science fiction I wont define here. Except to revel in the idea of the possibilites of hyperspace entwined within the digital data realms of the internet where strangeness lurks…it’s my brain again.

Hello, my name is Aleksey.
I joined these forums to discuss works that I have read with others.
-
good grief! I'm too scared to pronounce your avatar name lol! Welcome to Lit-Net. I seldom visit the forums which discuss works by famous authors unfortunately but I do like to welcome newcomers.

Hello everyone.
I found this site and have been enjoying it for some days and decided to join.
I love to read, I also like to see other opinions so I can find different authors.

Figured I would drop in to say "hello". Let's just say that I'm new and old all at the same time. I'm an old friend with a new identity, but I'll be around to say hi to those I still know :D
