that's kinda scary tailor. I sometimes wonder about the wildfires out west and if there are ways that homeowners themselves can combat the danger to begin with, and then combat it specifically when its happening.

We have these fires in Brazil too,bounty. They use to be so very big that the fire brigade(including helicopters) take a lot of time to master them. They need the atmosphere, rain, humidity, to help them. The difference is that in Brazil these areas seem not to be populated by people. The report is always about the destruction of the vegetation ans wildlife.

Fires - One can denude properties of trees/brush around structures and some have resorted to sprinklers upon their roofs which may work until the electricity/water runs out to a small degree... In a true firestorm, which is happening all too frequently, nothing may help. Note: The Crozier fire is now 68% contained / the Park fire is 40% contained as of this post. :)

this might be naïve, but id imagine going around my house with the garden hose constantly soaking it and spraying the fire as much as possible otherwise.
in the usa danik, one of the contentious areas related to wildfires are the varied political paradigms of land management. I wonder if it is similar in brazil.

You can bet, there is too, bounty. In congress we have the group of the big landlords, that fights for their own rights. But the biggest areas of contention are the areas that rightfully and lawfully belong to the Indians.

the far away view in the usa danik is its a matter of logging and brush clearing. some folks say nay to that, other folks say yes. the "nay" paradigm leaves things more susceptible to wildfires.
