Hi Friends..I am Marium Sheikh :)
Hi everyone
I stumbled upon this treasure trove of a website and I must confess to being a trifle overwhelmed at being here.
I look forward to a lot of good reading and some animated discussion.
Ciao

Hello everyone. It's been quite a while since I introduced myself, before my book was published; so I thought I would just pop on here again and tell a little bit about myself. My name is Aileen Stewart and I am the children's author of Fern Valley - A Collection of Short Stories written for kids 8-12. You can find me almost anywhere, Face Book, Twitter, Goodreads, Shelfari, Google+, and on my website Fun For Kids. I am currently working on a sequel to Fern Valley and a few other projects. Have questions about writing? Just find me on one of the aforementioned sites and we'll have a chat ;)
Hullo, all. Wilum Hopfrog Pugmire here.
I am here to dwell with others who love Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, poetry and H. P. Lovecraft. I write weird fiction exclusively as W. H. Pugmire. Last year I became obsess'd with the idea of my death and frantically wrote a bunch of new stuff and assembled various collections. As a result I will have had four books published this year -- insane, since the volumes will have to compete with each other in this age of economic woe. Those who criticize my work usually condemn it as antique and Victorian in tone. I contend that I am striving to write in the voice of High Literature, which is Timeless, but I do love the Yellow Nineties fin-de-siecle, to the point where I had my last book design'd so as to resemble a volume publish'd in Wilde's London, with yellow boards and Beardsley on ye front. (We chose the Beardsley illustration as we felt the gent therein resembled me in drag.) I have just conquer'd a tedious three-month block and am nigh feverishly working on ye next two books. When I grow weary from labor I go to my MrWilum channel at YouTube and promote my books. Being a confirm'd Queer Punk Exhibitionist, I find YouTube rather alluring. What was it that Quentin Crisp said: "Exhibitionism is a drug. You get hooked." Amen. I am happy to be here, although I probably will keep activity to a minimum as I need to get my arse in gear and work. The joy of writing, for me, is in the work. It is the great blessing of my existence.
:iamwithstupid:
(I see that I forgot to turn of ye italics after fin-de-siecle--I'm rather inept with this computer hoodoo...)
Hi everyone, I am interested in learning about Shakespeare and his poems. Please let me know if you have any discussions about them.
Bye
Hi all,
I'm reader427. I am in high school and have been an avid bookworm for as long as I can possibly remember. Specifically, I enjoy classics (Austen, Hugo, Dickens ect). My favorite books are Sense and Sensibility, Les Miserables, and A Tale of Two Cities.
I am currently reading Shirley by Charlotte Bronte.
I hope to have many conversations.
Hi,
I am Sarah Abdulaziz from Saudi Arabia, I study the literature of English language at PNU.

Hi People,
I love literature, and it's hard to explain how or why, but all I know is that literature always proves its relevance to real life, and through it there could be an understanding of what real life, sometimes it's like a sponge sucking away your fears and pain, and sometimes it tells you where to be wary and conscious, in all, its relevance runs deep and thick in our lives, and it is hard to let it go just like that, and it's difficult to ignore its relevance to our lives.
Hi everyone,
It doesn't look like people are actually reading this thread anymore, but I usually never get around to actually posting in forums, so here goes:
I'm a high school student and sick of it, I'm really looking forward to getting out of high school and going to university. I love literature and art history, because they both use similar sorts of thinking. I'm currently reading 'Nights at the Circus' by Angela Carter, but my favourite authors are George Orwell and Shakespeare. My favourite books are probably 1984, Down and Out in Paris and London, and Hamlet, but there's so much I haven't read yet, like Dickens and more Shakespeare and everything else. I have a constantly changing list of books that I want to read, I know I won't get to most of them but it means that when I need something to read I can go to that list. This year I have been doing a research project for school about George Orwell, which is due in a couple of weeks. I've done more than I need to but honestly it's so much fun, and I want to make the most of it. It's that project that made me decide that I'd like to study literature at university. I definitely want to do a PhD at some stage, and would like to end up a professor at a university in England someday (I'm from New Zealand).
I am so excited I don't know vair to begin.
I just bought a PanDigital ereader a few months ago and have been reading my eyes blind.
So I wanted to find communities that were interested in this and find out what is going on, so here I am!
I vill be hanging around for sure, be vell all of you and happy reading!
Hello everyone.
I randomly decided to join a forum about literature today, and this is the address Google gave me.
I am a student, majoring in Social Sciences, and I have been reading full-ime since elementary school. Growing up, I always had problems finding people my age, as engaged in reading as me, so ever since long ago I gave up on discussing reading.
Then suddenly today, I was struck with an idea that I could do that on the Internet, so here I am.
My favorite writers would be Sidney Sheldon, Jack London, Walter Scott, and many more.
Hello,
i am Jurt (20). I was born in Germany and still live there. As a matter of fact my first language is German. I've learned English at school which i am still attending. The reasons, why I've registered in this forum, are my profound inclination to literature and my proposition to improve my English, so feel free to correct my howlers. I conceive that it its important to speak as many lanuages as possible. That's why I learn and improve my Englisch, French, Latin and Hebrew.
I am looking forward to a splendid time in this forum.
I suppose this is what I get for doing this at 4 am my time, totally didn't see the sticky post. *headslap* Hi, I'm Leif. I write. I blog. Too embarrassed to go on.
