Hello
Hi. My name is Liinita, and I'm currently a stay home mother, with a 7 month old, an 8 year old, a 13 year old, and two step children who come for the summer only.
I speak fluent Swedish, English and German.
I taught high school English and drama for many years, 3rd grade for two, and served as an adjunct English professor for two years, as well.
I've also written lots for newspapers, mostly freelance, but for awhile, full-time.
I love literature.
I hate crappy writing.
I am a good editor and article writer, but a poor creative writer.
I love Flannery O'Connor, Leif Enger, William Shakespeare, John Steinbeck, to name a few.

Hello, my name is Nate.
I always had a facisnation with books and literature. One of my goals on my bucket list is to have a wide variety collection of books, all neatly kept in my personal Library. As of now I am a high school student and on my way to college in Fall.
A favorite hobby I do is to collect rare antique books. :D
So yeah, I have a thing with books. :)
I am currently attending college to become a biomedical engineer and a minor in filming. I am hoping that they will have enough room in the dorms for my books. :)

Hey all. My name is Rachel. I'm a English Literature Major at the University of South Florida. I'm realizing after taking my first 4000 level course (The British Woman novelist) that I have not read enough. My summer is going to be spent catching up as much as possible and since I don't have access to a classroom setting during the summer I wanted to find like minded people to discuss some of the stuff that I am reading. I'm excited to participate in conversation with all of you.

Hi
I really don't know what to say.
I am an undergraduate engineering student. I love reading. And painting, though my abilities are almost certainly negligible.
Well, this is about saying hi, right ? So, may we get together and reduce our miseries.

Hello world!
Greetings all, the name is Scott, Im a recent college grad (though I may soon find myself being dragged back into grad school) and am finding myself with a lot of free time. I used to read for fun and not just school and have decided to try and get back into the swing of things. I just finished a few ebooks my mom reccomended to me and plan to try my hand at a review of one of them.
That aside, I would love to get some good reccomendations from people here. I really enjoy science fiction but would never snub a good book so if anyone has a few favorites I'd definately check them out.

Howdy
Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm an English teacher from Townsville, in sunny Queensland, Australia. I'm pretty passionate about literature, reading and all those other things I got to do way back in my uni days but rarely find enough time for nowadays. Most of all, I love a good chat - something that stimulates thought, perhaps a bit of controversy and the occasional dispute. Anything that keeps my mind ticking over! Hopefully I'll find that here.

Hello! I graduated with my B.A. in English lit just last week and will be starting grad school next Fall, so needless to say I love literature (I guess we wouldn't be here if we didn't!) I am particularly fond of American gothic writers, for those of you who are unfamiliar with my handle, she is a character in one of my favorite Poe stories (well, actually 2 of them.) I even plan on writing my thesis about Poe. That's about it!

Hi
Hi, I'm citronella from Italy. I'm very interested in English Literature of the Victorian Age. Also in the English novelists of the first part of the 20th century (Joyce, Woolf, James, Forster, Conrad, Maugham and so on). I'm sure I'll find food for thought here.

Damien, in West Yorkshire in England. I'll be studying English literature at Lancaster this autumn, hopefully!
Currently reading through Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and doing a presentation on the postmodern and existentialist aspects of Fight Club!

Greetings!
Its almost 0100 hours in a remote corner of Assam (in India) from where I am writing this. Came across the site when I was searching for Literature Forums to interact and share views with people who love the written word.
I am an engineer by profession (there are still very few degrees in india which can actually land you a job). But my heart has always beaten for the magic that springs up from words woven so craftfully. I started writing poems ever since I was 6 years old. The themes and the content kept varying as I grew older, also being greatly influenced by some frozen-in-time experiences of my life. Recently, I also started dabbling in short stories-but I understand its a pretty long way for me to travel in this path.
Hope to meet and make new friends here!
