Right, I agree. I am not sure why he choose Cotton, but he was later in a few other Hitchcock films, I believe. I think he is rather non-descript, don't you? I did like him in Citizen Kane though.

^ I agree that Cotton comes across as very bland.
That's it exactly...I was going to write pale, but bland is right-on. When he gets angry in the diner it seemed out-of-character for him; but then maybe that was just the point. Still, I don't see why she would have been attracted to him. I also didn't see how they were anything alike, did you?
Coraline - 8/10. It kinda weirded me out a little bit but I loved it.
The Soloist - 8/10. It was strange too but I liked it.
 Hi Grace, I am laughing since, everytime I see some newer film now I seem to be weirded out too or they seems strange. I haven't found one film, I would rave over this from this past year. I did want to see The Soloist though. I heard it was good and I like Robert Downing, Jr. He was great in Chaplin. Ever see it? Pretty sure he won an oscar for it. He deserved it.
The Ugly Truth- heh heh it was pretty funny. I love cheap movie nights with the bff.
Double Indemnity - 9/10. My favourite film noir.
this movie is so amazing.
Inglourious Basterds - No rating - Surprisingly really amazing. I can't really score this movie, except to say that it was brilliant. Completely changing the events of WWII in such a way is kind of marvelous, something you'll never ever see in another WWII flick. It begins and ends almost perfectly. I was completely surprised, as I was not impressed by the previews I had seen of this movie. Christopher Waltz is amazing in this.
Inglorious Basterds:
There was so much that I enjoyed about the film. Tarantino writes such distinct characters, but they have the tendency to digress in the same manner. There was more diversity in this film compared to Kill Bill, where The Bride, Bill and Elle seemed to have attended the same speech class ( I always cringe when Elle reads from her notepad).
There is a very interesting tone to the film and the performances that have been praised are well deserved, but I have to watch it a second time to really grasp Pitt's performance.
G.I.Joe
2/10
very obvious, lame jokes, mediocre acting, good enough bad guys for 2 stars
Inglourious Basterds - Q Tarantino
Could have been good but the focus on the terribly written french characters and some awful acting ruined it. I would have liked to see more of the "Basterds". Christoph Waltz was great in this though.
Satantango - Bela Tarr
One of the greatest films ever made, a true work of art. Over seven hours long but every second of it is beautifully crafted and mesmerizing. It takes a while to get used to the perculiar rythm but once past that you're in for a treat. Everybody who sees cinema as a form of art should see this once in their life.
The Inglourious Basterds - Enzo G. Castellari 8/10
I'm so curious about Q.Tarantino's new movie, so I figured I should see the one he got some inspiration from. I enjoyed it a lot, a dark A-team movie... with quite an anti-war message. I would definitely watch it again!
Pulp Fiction - Q. Tarantino 9/10
What's there to say? Just grand. I like Tarantino's style :D I really dig the dialogues. And the music. And the jumping between points of view. And... :) Just grand!
