Introduce Yourself here and say Hi.

Hi, my name is Miss Meadowsweet (well, not really, but that's the username I chose). I am from the very northern part of Wisconsin where it is winter for nine months out of the year. There are many cons about living here, but one pro is that the long winters give me a lot of time to think about stories that need to be told, and then to write them, which is what I truly love doing.

I have written three novels. The first two were really just warm-ups, I suppose one could say, but the third I just recently finished, and I believe it may be truly worth getting published, which is what I'm working on at the moment. So basically, I love, love, love writing! And of course, to love writing, I had to first love reading.

I like to read a diverse range of books. I love a lot of the classics and want to read more of them, but I also love a lot of other genres. I get inspired by many things I read and do and see in life and this makes me want to write more. I especially love the outdoors and natural things, and I love digging my hands into the earth.

Right now I am a newspaper reporter for my small local newspaper. I like it, but what I really want to do is become a writer, not just a reporter of the facts. This fall I am hopefully going to be in Virginia going to school for my masters degree in English.

Hey, Gwynhwyfar, just a quick question: I was wondering if your user-name comes from a book called "The Perilous Gard". There is a fairy-girl in that book named Gwynhfara (not exactly sure of the spelling). I was just wondering because it's one of my favorite books.

I have just came across and registered to this forum. I assume I am older than most in here.
I am Greek and live in Piraeus, Greece - something I have tried to change, but with no results so far. In life, I consider myself to be a late bloomer. Professionally, I was a wanderer, not knowing what I wanted to do. A fact that led me to gain experience in a variety of fields. Later, this proved to be a valuable asset in life and professional experience. In mature age I studied Psychology and specialized/ an MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology. Today I work as a drug counsellor/therapist with drug addicted offenders as well as prisoners.
During the last years I developed a wider interest in p[hilosophical issues and a special interest in astrology.
