Hmm... Mr. Brown Can Moo by Dr. Seuss. I was 1 and I constantly asked my mom to read it to me. By two, I could read very well and was on the road to loving the written language. I owe it all to the good doctor... ^_^
If you went to heaven, what would it be like?
I guess, seeing as I dont believe in heaven, my "ideal" or perfect world so to speak would be filled with everything and everyone i love. But i like things being flawed as well.....tricky question.
ill pass it on to the next person, same Q
I went to heaven, -
'Twas a small town,
Lit with a ruby,
Lathed with down.
Stiller than the fields
At the full dew,
Beautiful as pictures
No man drew.
People like the moth,
Of mechlin, frames,
Duties of gossamer,
And eider names.
Almost contented
I could be
'Mong such unique
Society.
I share some of the thoughts as Ms. Dickinson did.
Same question
I do believe in heaven and an afterlife, but I would be more than content without mansions, streets of gold, and the usuals. To be completely free from mortal illness, young again, and have a little old cabin in the mountains near a lake would be plenty, and far more than I deserve.
Same question.
My reading of Revelations sometimes makes me feel that it would be cold, a city of glass. Sometimes makes me feel as if that completely happy multitude focussed only on the Lamb and content like the angels to be singing praises for eternity would be excruciatingly boring. Where there is neither marriage nor giving in marriage, where no one is special it would be blasphemous to be bothered whether those you had once loved so imperfectly here were actually there with you. Indeed the concept of 'you' - of individual identity would have ceased to exist. Help, the more the images pile in the more I feel justified in feeling that I'll just concentrate on the here and now - knowing it is temporary should give the fleeting moments a bitter-sweet taste if nothing else.
Same question
I think that it would be the most pleasant for a place you had to spend all of eternity. I hope I don't get bored, hope it's not things I don't care to do. I hope there are no heights or spiders involved, for instance. But, I'm not exactly sure what it will be like. And, I think it might say somewhere in the Bible that "no man can comprehend," or something to that effect. So, how am I supposed to know now, if I can't comprehend it? I s'pose I'll have to wait and see if I make it that far. :)
Why is it easy to want to "dance the night away?" I just recently experienced that, and I don't get it.
Because sometimes the rhythm strikes you and the only way to get rid of it is by dancing it away
Whose opinion do you respect the most on this earth?
My mother and father's. Without a doubt, they have got o be the wisest people I know.
Random math time! What's 123 to the 7th power?
What my Trig Prof used to call a "hellacious number".
What was the purpose of the former question? :p
To belittle the ignorant.
Have you ever watched the sun rising and sun setting in one day?
Many times in summertime.
If a barber says he'll shave every man that does not shave himself (and only those men), who shaves the barber?
The barber's wife, because she goes for bald men.
If Batman died, would the Joker be happy?
Maybe, but he would have something to make bad jokes about. :)
Where's the best place to buy big band or jazz music?
At a big band and jazz music store, duh!
Wanna play football?
