Hey everyone. Randomly found this forum from a Google Alerts I get to my Google Reader.
I love literature, so I decided to join. This looks like a great place to
meet others who love to read and discuss what they read.
My favorite book is The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. I love everything
Flannery O'Connor wrote. I also really like George Orwell, Aldous
Huxley, Walker Percy... and... Stephen King. That's right. Stephen King.
Anyways. Great to be here!
Just stopping by w/ my first post.

Hello, I'm Josh. I decided today that I'd like to join a forum and this was the first one I found that looked appealing. I like reading and stuff.
I'm Marina from Spain, hello everyone.
I love reading -obviously, and I have joined this forum to meet new people and have interesting exchanges of ideas and opinions on books, authors or any subject for that matter.
I enjoy reading classics as well as current authors and I can enjoy the occasional blockbuster as well.
Hello to all of you.
I am a disabled Vietnam veteran. My wife and I live on a forty-acre ranch in Colorado. We have five horses, a pony, a donkey, fourteen sheep, and two cats. These mammals are our family.
For many years I have been studying and researching the Kethib (letter-text) of the Hebrew Garden of Eden narrative (Gen. 2:4 thru 3:24) found in the Masoretic Hebrew Tanak (a.k.a. Old Testament). In the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas (36:22 thru 25), “five trees in paradise”, there is a direct reference to the Hebrew Garden of Eden narrative. It is my hope to explore, examine, and discuss these two ancient texts with those on this forum who are interested.
I look forward to our interaction,
Ger
Hi everyone!
I come to you all the way from South-Africa and I'm 24. I have always been interested in writing, and I'm glad to have found this site. I'm looking forward to posting anything I have written and recieving feedback while reading other people's work and commenting my thoughts.
Hello All, I joined this group to know more about literature as I've not really studied literature at school. I hope to get inspired by all of your writings in this forum.
Great meeting you all.

Hey everyone. Fresh meat.
I was getting a bit bored of the other forums I whore so I searched and found you lot. I'm halfway through my first novel--a satire and commentary on how the digital age has desensitised a socially-hungry culture... or something like that and add in a stalking ex, some contracted nasties, a guy called Cabbage who sells his PC and moves to Wolverhampton to live with a single mother he met the week before on some site (maybe it's called findadaddy.com), add in some more stuff but yeah, I'm rambling.
Sorry.
In short I just wanted to have somewhere to talk about books and writing when I'm not actually writing. My authors of choice: Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, Hunter S. Thompson, Nick Hornby, and a bit Of Stephen King (my gateway author). I like drinking; I drink. I'm supposed to be getting married soon but I just need to get this book finished beforehand because I really can't take my mind of it and I don't want to be saying 'The end' instead of 'I do'.
This'll do anyway. As you might have noticed, I have a knack for ze waffle. See you on the boards.
Hey, I'm new here and I joined just for the fun of writing! :D (Should there be any other reason to join a place like this?!).
I'm not a terribly amazing writer because I was never influenced by when I was young, my mums side of the family are all amazing at art, each better at a different thing, so I just kind of fell into place with that and didn't care much for English or any other subject than art whilst I was in school (which makes me sad now when I think back). But even without putting all of my effort in I was still average or above in my studies. Anyway, when I did my A levels in 6th form I was just drawn to English Language and Literature and I fell in love instantly. I think that the fact I grew up without writing as an active part of my life is why I now love it as much as I do.
Moving on, my goals that I hope to achieve from joining this site are to be inspired to write, post my work and receive as much feedback as possible so that I can grow into a better writer :)
Thanks guys! :D
