 Joyful greetings to:
sfaulkner--Wow, so you're related to William F. Any family stories about him? Anyway, sounds like you're pretty talented yourself. Do you compose and perform the scores for the films you make?
The Latin Poet--Hola Michael. Good to see a poet joining up. Many of us here share your deep love of poetry.
Julie--Welcome aboard the bandwagon.
Joleena--Don't worry about language mistakes. We have many here for whom english is a second language. Do you mind if I ask what your first language is?
Orchard Court--Hi Jones. So you're treading the boards eh? I envy your talent. I've studied Shakespeare a lot but haven't ever had the opportunity to act in one of his plays. It must be both fun and rewarding.
Hi! I'm Maria and love reading. People always tell me I'm confusing and use big words, but I don't think I do-they just have a limited vocabulary! I want to write novels someday but right now I'm just a student. I have a great imagination though. My mother tongue is english and my father tongue is norwegian. Some of my hobbies include quilling, watercolor, pysanky(ukrainian easter eggs), sewing, crocheting, and 4-H. I love mountains, lakes, forests, moons, stars, waterfalls, and solitude(but not all the time!). I'm a violinist and hardangerfiddler. I'm a strong believer in Christianity and the Bible.
Welcome aboard everyone!!! :D
Welcome all! RJbibliophil, I'm a violinist too! What songs ya like to play? My grandmother was a superb quilter, and I've tried, but I can't sew them together right, as well as the fact that I don't have the eye for it. I can sew a straight line, but the fabric doesn't stay the way I want it to stay!
@Petrarch's Love: of course I don't mind, if I did so, I wouldn't have mentioned that :D
My first one is german.
Hello.. I really dont know how to work this thing.. By the way im bree.. =)
someone help me please!!!
Wow so many newbies. I'll just give a big generic welcome to all of you.
Hello everyone, I'm the new kid!
I feel like the foreign new kid too; everyone seems to be American, whilst I am from the good ol' United Kingdom. Ah well, it is not important.
I recently decided to put my new found hobby of reading literature to good use, and therefore I start a literature degree from home in October. I'm very excited as well :D
My main hobby is music; I play guitar and also write songs and generally take great interest in anything with a rythm. But I am also a keen reader, although I had a spell when I wouldn't pick up a book (I was a rebellious teenager, 'I wasn't never gonna read a book again!') But after leaving school, I recently rediscovered the joys of the noble novel. So I decided to sign up on here, and meet some new interesting people.
Anyway, that is all for now; just a quick hello from me. If anyone wants to talk with me I have put my msn address on my profile, feel free to add me.
Thank You,
Adam
Hi Adam, Welcome to the forum. Well, everyone here is not American but maybe the majority is...
You will find a lot of topics for discussions here.
And welcome all the newbies! Have a nice time here and keep on posting!
Take heart, Wilful--you can count at least a few of us among your countrymen. Take Pendragon (so long as my memory does not fail me), one of the most prominent members here, for example.
Bananas! Robin he said he was from the uk!
Actually quite a few of us live in the uk. Yorkshire? Do you have daffs up there yet? seems the whole world has dafdfiodils this week.:D
 A warm welcome to:
Bree--What do you need help with? Hope you get the hang of things soon and enjoy it here.
WilfulSunbeam--There are a fair number of Americans here, but there is a larger number of people here from outside North America than in it according to the "Where are you from?" poll, and I assume that some of the North Americans are from Canada or Mexico. Glad you've decided to join in our international community.
My daffodils here in NY just bloomed yesterday.Quote:

i found this page today. i was cleaning my room and thinkin about a relationship that just ended and thought to myself, "tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" i couldnt figure out who said this so i typed it into a search engine and this page gave me the answer that i was looking for. it also gave me a lot more. i have always been an avid reader, and just finished with dostoyevskys the brothers karamazov, and had nothing to read. this page sent me straight to the library
