Is English your first language?

Arabic is my home language and I have been learning English 10 years ago. My life turn to be miserable every times I try to write English essays. How can I solve this problems:bawling::bawling:

My mother tongue is Vietnmese, it is difficult to me when studying English. I could nt have true pronunciation. But when i studied in USA, my voice is improve magically. It is awesome !!!

No, English is not my first language, but it is the language that I use the most. My fist language is Russian, I live in Israel, but don't speak Hebrew yet.

Vadim. I wish I could understan Russian. I only began to read Russian authors like Gogol & Turgenev in my 60s & I'm sure I'm missing half of the depth of feeling in it, however good the translation.

I'm new to Literature Network. I was looking around to see what it's like when I found this poll. English is my native language, even though I mangle it frequently. I can't believe how many people on this site are bilingual. The only language I've studied is Spanish, and I can't do much except ask how to find the bathroom.

Hello everyone. I've just logged up. I think this site is very interesting. Well, as regards the topic of this thread, I have to say that English is not my mother tongue. I am an English student, actually a translation student. I am an Spanish native speaker from Argentina. I also study French, but I am studying the first year of a four-year program. I love learning foreign languages and I'll try to study as much languages as I can! Cheers.

I was surfing the web fro an article about Philip Larkin, and got directed to this site. I found it very intersting and registered.
My first language is Arabic, my second is French, Third English, and forth Spanish.
