ravens in the midst
a super blue moon shines down where
a keen eyed phantom with black wings
and radar redundancy seeks a hostage,
a victim, to entrance and feed upon -
when ravens come mobbing grim in
their resolve to defend the skies - harry-
ing the phantom into skulking away

When he races through the firmament
he is the fastest
horse ever.
He doesn't know any sleep.
People believe
in his kinship with the wind.
He enjoys worldwide prestige.

pea soup fog
pea soup fog has rolled in from offshore
predators and prey hunkering down watch
a lighthouse bathed in its afterglow as
it booms out a warning with its foghorn.
kindred moonseed and nightshade become
fog harps catching droplets of moisture
which drip-drip into the thirsty sandy soil.
shore birds who would otherwise soar
circle short distances or land wandering
noisily by the shore restricted by the
foggy low ceiling until the fog lifts again.

Crescent crystal moon.
Manor house with portico.
Solemn grandeur!
But for the kitten,
white moving flake
in the dark
attacking an innocent aubergine
on the silvery lawn.

resultant shimmering bringing forth Auroræ
in a heavenly dance that glisten upon dewdrops
collecting on poppies to the delight of færies
who harvest the rarified celestial dews for an
early twilight's vibrant butterfly pea flower tea

Charming poem, unexpected theme. Enjoyed the crates with artwork too. My bookshelf in my first apartment was made of crates without artwork. The problem with pinewood though is that it attracts insects that eat wood.

On the meanders
of the riverside,
near the closure,
you find these fanciful baskets
for a few farthings.
Visitors delight themselves
with the display of multicored flowers
and the delicate lace on the border
