This cover is so wrong in so many ways: Your Southern Can Is Mine - The White Stripes
i hadnt heard song before tailor and went in search for a discussion about the lyrics. I found this:
"In conclusion, “Your Southern Can is Mine” by The White Stripes is a powerful and intense song that delves into themes of ownership, control, and personal freedom. Its raw energy and assertive lyrics make it a captivating and thought-provoking piece of music. Whether you interpret it as a statement of personal autonomy or a metaphor for larger societal struggles, it is undeniably a song that leaves a lasting impact."

but that doesn't seem to do it for me and I think its missing something.
mine would be you by blake shelton
I'm prolly off base - evidently I heard the song using a present-day lens... it scans much different in the original context, though it still seems off.
An Old Friend of Mine - Joe Nichols
I received bits and pieces of music a few times meant for somebody else in my email re: Joe's music; kind of an odd way to be introduced to an artist.
itd be good to read a more insightful essay on the song.
I enjoyed joe Nichols---a bit of hearkening back to old country music.
I used to pay attention to figure skating. yeas ago this was taken off YouTube, im really glad to find it back. its a sort of tribute to sergei grinkov, an accomplished Russian pairs skater who died unexpectedly. his widow, Ekaterina gordeeva wrote a book about them called my sergei. she's is in the dark dress in the little troupe here:

WWoS - yeah :)
OM - Haven't seen any of the expendables yet... sounded like the young Neil before the karaoke started :)
3DN :)
Mosquito Song - Queens of the Stone Age
parts of the expendables are worthwhile, but id have to guess they are right up there with john wick in terms of bullets used and people killed.
don't know if I liked the lyrics, but I liked the band's sound, yet another I hadn't heard of before.
brian's song (the hands of time) by henry mancini
