I think that there's a unnecessary H and an unnecessary T in that song title. 2/10

I know that one :hurray: No irony at all... :p

I'm not an addict
I like her voice but not so much the song: 3/10.

Were it not for a combination of British good manners and the UK's stringent gun control laws, Tina Charles would have been taken out to the woods and made to dig her own grave before being summarily executed by right-thinking citizens. 0/10
Jesus died...
Gloria ...
6/10
I like the drums in this one
30/30-150
Not my cup of tea (not advocating an execution, though): 1/10.

Grotesque 0/10, but in keeping with the limp-wristed theme:

1/10 because I have just found what "limp-wristed" means.

Once more with feeling: 0/10
You appear to have led a sheltered life. Gone are the days when my friends and I would gather in the local hostelry to toast ourselves with: "Cheers Queers!"
However, I digress, let me take you back to a time when neanderthals didn't walk the musical scene and exquisite females like this decorated the British screen.

I wonder why people sang and talked a semi-tone higher in those days. Anyway the song was ..... a 2/10.

Something with the normal tonal range.
Great choice Paul 10/10.
One of my favorites.
You beat me to Brian's. i was going to suggest that Brian's dame must have been a mentor to Tiny Tim:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c71RCAyLS1M
.
That's an interesting point you raise about a semi-tone higher. It may be that the recording techniques of the time required singers to raise their voices to achieve the desired effect. However, I maintain that it is much more acceptable to the sub-humanoid world of the present 'music' scenario.
I forgot to rate the song, I'll give it 5/10 for the video of Turkey.
Thank you, Captain Mainwaring. And that would be 'more acceptable than'. You higher primates are expected to have mastered syntax.
In the meantime, I find Tiny Tim slightly disturbing, I have to say. 2/10
If pushed, I'd have to express a preference for those whom Uncle Eugenics over there describes as sub-human. For instance....
Looks like eugenics took a turn for the worse especially with the hair. I realize the video attributes have nothing to do with the song, but I find myself turned on by white patent leather boots, therefore 4/10.
Here’s a ditty that I believe both MarkBastable and Brian can find common ground in:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fAPEUWowEc
.
Yeah, a common ground of mutual dislike.
I however think it's pretty good, 7.5/10

I like that one 7/10:
Here's one that I loved when I was a youngster.

A song which envites to listen to the lyrics. I can not say I really understand what he's getting at though

A classic song - explained
Mack the Knife (2nd English version)
Interesting to see some real singers for a change. 7/10
Here's another one:

A bit too sweet for me, but that woman can sing!
6/10
I rather have a bit of comedy in it :wink5:
Betty Hutton
As for voices, I like Tori Amos her version better - but Betty Hutton does know how to bring it :)
I prefer them sweet. Betty Hutton was one of those blonde bombshell types like the Andrews Sisters that were all over the place in WWII, so i'll give it 6/10.
Now here's a combination of both the sweet and the loud.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGOzN1ZcMns
That was too sweet for my liking (even though I liked the voice): 4/10.

Egregious. 0/10.

Oh dear, some scruffy youths strumming electric guitars and shouting indecipherable words to the great unwashed. It's got to be deja vu and 0/10.
Thanks to this thread I discovered that the film 'A Certain Smile' was available in its entirety. Here's the theme song. Sorry there's no drugs or infantilism involved but things have obviously improved since then.

WOW! My dad would SO love this song. I give it 2/10 only because I have such a high opinion of my dad.

If I were in a better mood I could possibly do this but for today I'm giving it a 3. It's just too upbeat.

Thanks sixsmith,
Just what I needed. I think you know the rating.
Now this one is marginally less childish and the cat looks very much like my own.
