Hello to everyone!
My name is Stefan, I am 25 years old, and I am from Romania.
I graduated Biology at Bucharest State Univesity and now I`m studying Philology, with an English major, at "Stephan the Greate" University. I am a big reader, and I love both British and American writers and poets. I wrote a fiew essays and articles for local papers, but I do not dare to concider myself a writer.
Literature is my greatest passion, from fiction to poetry and from Homer to modern writers. I love good music and mountain trips, from rock climbing to camping under the bare sky.
I love this site and I have greate concideration for all the people here, coming to get their literary "fix" for the day, and talk about what they read, enlightening or seeking light.
I am very glad to be here, I hope to feel at home among you and, maybe make a fiew friends.
All the best!

I am a devout Southern Baptist, high school student who likes to write, and listen to classical music. My favorite books are anything by William Shakespeare, Agatha Christie, and most other classics, but I don't care for modern teen and adult books unless they are scientifically, religiously, or historically based. I volunteer at the local library. I would love to become a librarian or literature professor. I am a member of a chess club and a book club.
welcome all new forumers:)
bookworm,I love Agatha too.
Thanks everyone and welcome to the new members as well.
This site truly is a beautiful place to hang around. :)
Just wanna say howdy!!
Looking forward to getting to know y'all. I love writing and laughing - so this looks like the place to be.
I'm a homemaker in Ohio who was once going to write The Great American Novel. Instead, I'm raising our 3 girls and reading everything I can get my hands on. We regularly visit the library and I have a list ttthhiiss lllooonnngg of books I want to read. I don't write much anymore but hope to return to it someday. In the meantime, read, read, read. I'm relatively new to forums, but I'm finding them entertaining and addictive. I look forward to participating. Thanks for letting me share!
welcome to all the newcomers, HIGH FIVE!!
hi im sara and im new here...:D oh and im 20 :D
Arigato, Grace-san. I would love to tell you about my country as well. I miss it very much, though Belgium is nice. I have left Japan this summer, to study in a foreign country. It is quite hard sometimes to be so far at only eighteen. Yet, Japan remains a beloved part of me, and learning French is quite fun (it's such a beautiful culture).
And welcome everyone! :D
Dr Eep,cool,Sara,Aiko>>>>welcome all from miss tenderness:)
you guys seem interesting.
I totally stumbled on this site this am at work looking googling an author on vampire books. I went ahead and signed on not really looking much further. But now I am sitting at Mayo in Rochester, MN in a clinic waiting room waiting on my husband's appointment and using their internet! I have been navigating around and trying to figure out how to post my intro and finally here it is!
About me: married, no children, live in Minnesota, work as a director of a national home care agency. I read to escape reality of day to day issues, escape the endless political commercials on TV and anything that remotely resembles my job! LOL No really, when I have the time and I certainly wish I had more, I love to read. My favs are Sci-Fi Fantasy, which my mom introduced me to 30 years ago. I could always find her curled up in a chair reading. My husband and I raise and breed AKC Boxers and Bulldogs. Currently we have one on the "show road" competing for his championship.
I know from the threads I have been reading that I don't have the Lit background most of you have, but I love reading what you all write. Hopefully I will be able to contribute in the future meaningfully, but for now I will enjoy reading the interesting forum threads!
welcome Smaxie:)
I stumbled upon LitNet looking for research info for a essay. I am not as well read as all of you. Someday I hope to be But am facinated with the items I read here on LitNet.
I am a 39 year old single mom. Two teenagers! Who are wonderful but exhausting. I've been a massage therapist for ten years and although I love my job, I know my days are numbered in this profession. So this summer for the first time I started college. I've got a few ideas what I'd like to do when I grow up, but I'm still undecided. I love school, but it has been a challenge to jugle everything.
I'm a huge music fan and like everything except gheto rap.
I have two cats "Super kitty" and "Loki"
For fun: Hiking, Snow Skiing, Gardening, Bicycling, Drinking wine, going to concerts.
I'm glad to be here!
Hi, guys i'm bayazid i've heard so much about you and i thought why not be part of the crew. I want to tell you that its really a great previledge being part of you guys.
tuscangirl,
Welcome. I am new here also. I started back to school late, at 35. I was enrolled as a full-timestudent, worked full-time as a municipal employee and a had a part-time job to get two of my children started in college. Whipped is the best word! I have since retired from my municiple job and now teach school. I enjoy almost every minute of it. It was worth the struggle. You can achieve only what you set out to do.
Always remeber, one step at a time.
Gordon
Thanks Ozeed, Miss Tenderness, and Gordon! You've made me feel welcome! You're kindness and encouragement is appreciated!
Hi! I am toni. (duh) I love this website and I discovered it while doing my research on Shakeapeare's biography. Sometimes, I mean always, I feel guilty because I spend so much time sitting and browsing here in this forum that I forget to cut my nails, help my brother with his homework and such.. but I don't mind, this is the best forum ever!! Spending time here is so worthwhile and I get feedbacks on the poems I made.
I love...
Literature and poetry..
Eating strawberry..
Watching Formulaone races..
I am most happy when....
Drinking coffee whie reading Shakespeare while listening to coldplay.
Dad buys me all sorts of smelly cheese:banana:
Welcome to the forum, toni. I am glad you are liking it. :D
Good evening, or morning, or afternoon depending on where you are, I am quite new here, and I as you can see, my name is Lily Adams, and I'm going through kind of a Hornbeck phase right now...though I don't believe Inherit the Wind is on the forum's list of books...no matter! I'm just glad there are some other people who are just as crazy about literature as I am, however rare that may be!
Welcome Lily. I hope you enjoy it here.
I am sure I will, Virgil, thank you.
Grazie, Pensive, for starting this thread. I was wondering where I could introduce myself as a new membah.
If you wanna know more about me (that is, IF), just check my profile out!
I have been temted by my writer sis (a member of this forum too) to join 'cause I saw how fun it is doing this, ya know, talking to different people from different parts of the world...it gets me all hyped up! I have only been a member since last night when I couldn't take the excitement no more. Haha!!!
But since then, I have become and insomiac.
Welcome Laindessiel. Hey I just checked your profile and you say:
Hahahaha. Who's afraid of me? I'm a nice, softie. Never, never, never be afraid of me. I do get petulant once in a while, but if I ever get angry at anyone it will be forgotten the next day. I never hold grudges. And feel free to put me in my place if you don't like something I say.Quote:

As I am now a registered user, posting and browsing and editing and reading and commenting in this forum and hoping not to be afraid of Virgil, like a member of this forum is. But before that, reading everything that has letters in it.
Welcome again. I'm sure you will like it here. BTW, is that a photo of you in your profile? If so, very pretty.
Oh, thanks Virgil! Uh, I've read that Toni is ghastly scared of you because she provoked you once when you were having a heated debate with Regit about Hamlet.
Oh well, Mr. Softiepants, I'll tell her that you're as soft as a bird's breast.
Si, si, I'm having fun!
Yep, it's me in the photo.
