I'm really not going to go into why I changed to this last atvar. It is another of my pseudonyms, Askuwheteau {He Who Watches}, a tribute to my Native American Heritage. He is an Algonquin Shaman.
The signature comes from a song by Kansas.

Pen, Your new avatar is cool too!
Thank you, Pensy! I thought of going with another of my Indian Characters, Lobo Sangre, The Blood Wolf, (he would be Apache), but I thought maybe not... I always hide behind one mask or the other, and my character list stands at about 17.
EDIT
Askuwheteau is actually Algonquin, and it means "He Who Watches". It is the true name of one of my Native American characters, Lucas Spiritwalker.
Askuwheteau is a shape-shifting Shaman of unknown age, but thought to be over 350 years old.
Heeeee's baaa-aaacck!!!
And how we have waited for him. Hail thee, Sir Robin! I like this avatar best.
@Pendragon: Pensive is right, your new avatar is cool.
Do you know this one?
I figured I'd go with the John Lennon avatar after seeing this pic. His expression just makes me think, 'why am I not doing something important?'
(which reminds me I've got paper to write and finals to study for)
Nice choice chmp.
you have a Native American Heritage--Native American blood? That's wonderful!Quote:

:bawling: baaah, Taliesin why did you change your avatar? i liked your raven so much :(
i get so confused when people change their avatar coz i tend to look at the avatars rather than screen names when i read ppl's posts :(
should I change mine? i like the one i've got but i could get a different one for a trial period...
Why not, but it should still look sleepy. :) Yes, Tal, we are all quite angry at you. :rage:
Wait a minute, Sleepy, I don't like that avatar as much as the last one! :(
I'm only trying it out for a while.. will switch back to the other one soon
About this last atvar. Playing the ghost of the Dastardly/Amazon Princess at the moment and having fun doing it, I have been referred to as a "Ghost Dragon". I had this image of a skeletal dragon who was fighting a knight, so I edited it for the atvar. If the ghost role turns stale, I'll go back to something else. Hee-ha!
ShoutGrace has changed his signature:Dylan Thomas if I am not mistaken?! :)Quote:

And the mystery
Sang alive
Still in the water and singingbirds.
I like the poem Fern Hill...Quote:
Oh as I was young and easy in the mercy of his means,
Time held me green and dying
Though I sang in my chains like the sea
Yes, you are quite correct. I wanted to have more but the character limiter convinced me otherwise.Quote:

OK chnged my sig and since it is a bit cryptic here is the full quote G.T.D.S.B.S. syndrome *
* G.T.D.S.B.S. syndrome= GOING TO DO SOMTHING A BIT SILLY syndrome (source- Freud, Dreams and the Unconscious, 1896)
I ike the ides of GTDSBS myself :D:D
My latest atvar I found while looking for something to go with a sonnet I wrote for the Obit thread. A Dragon at a computer! Perfect! ;) I've changed signatures a few times but I think I'll stick with this one.
Great choice Pen! :thumbs_upQuote:

Ooooh me too. When I had been visiting Goa I just felt like never returning home. Goa is a paradise for people who love beaches & trees.
very cool..then i would very much like to visit there. is it in india?
Yes, Goa is in India.
Is that where Jason Bourne and Maria were staying in 'The Bourne Supremacy'?
PAM has changed her avatar and this will be the fourth time I commend it in public. Wheeeeeeee!
I have a nostalgic feelings towards all of the old avys of all of you. I recognize you people by your avys and when someone changes his avy I feel lost(well, till I read the name, quite a long time ,isn’t?) anyways, one must change ,that keeps the forums fresh and vital. For me , I'm not feeling like changing my any or the sig currently unless if someone suggests. Grace: the description of Beth in ur sig makes me wonder, from which novel did you get it?
I agree. I have the same sentiment. As you can see, I've never changed my avy. Of course, you probably think I boring. ;)Quote:

A little change is good once in awhile, though I keep a folder of all my avatars (past and present, here at lit net and other places) in the "My pictures" folder so I can re-use them whenever I please.
thats a good idea kathy i think i will do the same :)
i changed my signature :) haha this part in the jungle books made me laugh out loud
Well, this is from a while ago, but I just noticed this topic.
As some may recognize both my avy and my sig are from Raging Bull.
